Three Blackberries now the Droid

I have had three Blackberries in the last four years, and have now switched to the Droid. I must say that this is one amazing phone. But there are some things it just does not do as well as the Blackberry. My number one gripe is email. On my blackberry, I had several different email accounts, and I was able to set a different notificatioin for each email account. I could have my work email beep and my personal email vibrate, basically had a ton of control over notifications.

The second thing that is really bothersome is the lack of profile settings. On the blackberry I had several different sound profiles, and could create custom profiles. At night I could set it to phone only, and the only sound it would make is if I recieved a call. Any other notification was silent. This sould be really nice to be able to do.

And last but not least is a case. I have purchased the body glove case and it seems to do a great job, but I like to keep my phone in a leather holster when not in use. I have a blackberry case that it fits into very well but the magnet sets it off and drains the battery. I have yet to find a belt holster for it without a magnet, so I am having to carry the phone at all times.

One more thing!! Is there a way to delete more than one email at a time? I recieve hundreds of emails a day.

Please dont think I am bashing the phone it is great, these are just some things that could be improved upon. The Droid crushes the blackberry in all other areas, and is just a great device.

Sorry for the long post!

If you do a quick search, I believe there's an app for that....just kidding.

I have had BBs myself and liked the profiles and email handling a lot too. The native gmail app is very lacking in my opinion, and it's handling of attachments is enough to annoy most business users.

I'm told there's an app for profiles, but also consider locale; it might be an even better solution for you. It applies certain rules to your setup depending on where you are located.
Also, try K9 email. It's in the market, and gives a few more options with regards to email.
