Battery Not So Great

Hey all, so my battery hasn't been the greatest since I got the phone. I got it about 5 days ago, and the battery has been getting worse. At first I could go all day with very heavy use. Now I took my phone off around 11:30 and it's now 7 o'clock. it's now at 40 percent, but I have barely used the phone at all. I texted occasionally, and I made one ten minute phone call. Other than that, nothing. Wifi is off, gps is off, only syncing is on. Is this normal for everyone else? Or should I go to verizon to see if I can get a replacement battery?

I was having really bad battery performancy, but it has gotten better lately. I did a battery pull two days ago to stop any hidden programs that may be running. After doing that I got pretty good performance yesterday during the day and let the battery run all the way down until it ran out of juice and shut down. Then recharged it overnight last night.

Today I have been unplugged for 11hours and 43 minutes and I am at 60%. Only light use today, but other days with light use I was at 20% by this time.

I am going to let it run all the way down again tonight.

Another thing I noticed last night is that the last 15% actually gets drained much slower than any other portion of the battery. So it may not be as close to death as you think it is.

I usually go all day at work with what I would call heavy use, and no charging.

Lots of last.fm, and data all day, and I usually have 40-50% when I get home.

If you check the performance on the droid, you'll see that the screen takes up almost all of the battery life. But battery life can vary alot depending what you are doing, signal strength, and EVEN apps installed.

I think there's been some reports of non-2.0 apps installed that drain the battery very fast.
