my coworker has had an incredible for over a month but cant stand the lack of physical keyboard. So she offered me to swap her incredible for my moto droid. Normally I'd do it, but i have a few reservations.

I like the incredible but I really cant stand sense UI. I very much prefer stock android. Is it possible to reflash the incredible with stock Android UI or would I be stuck forever with sense? I plan on rooting it...how is general support for custom mods on this phone now? Is beta froyo ROM out for it yet? Also I always hear my coworker complain about battery life on inc..Is it really that bad or generally fixable?

Overall, would this be worthy trade or not? Thanks for the feedback!

You should base your desicion on your preferences, that been said and actually owning both devices, I would in a heartbeat. The keyboard should not be an issue, I know I rarely if ever use the Droids physical one, then again that's just me. Then there are other considerations in terms of ROMS availability in case you've rooted, as opposed to the Droid there are not many options in existence out there, at least not yet ! Good Luck.....................................

While I have a hatred for HTC right now, if the X was not coming out
and I had the option of getting the incredible, i'd definitely take it

Before you finally decide..be sure to read all the owners complaints
of the incredible and decide if it will be worth it

But yes, it is a much better phone than the Droid and you will certainly love it(unless you need the keyboard)

And sense, while boring, is pretty good(mainly eyecandy) but can be easily replaced

No complaints here. Amazing phone - if you have no need for a physical keyboard, it's a no brainer ;) I've played with both - Inc hands down better - less clunky, sexier, faster, better screen, sense ui, etc..

While the stock battery isn't bad, you can get a $15 dollar 1500 mah battery that lasts a very long time.
