Ok, here's the serious question. Has anyone who is running stock had any success with flash running smoothly? All my videos are super 'jerky' and the video and sound don't sync up. I've tried this on a number of sites, including those in the flash showcase.

Anything I'm missing to optimize it?

How do I set flash 10.1 so it doesn't pull up everything flash on the page. I saw someone say settings-->plugins, but I can't find that anywhere. Suggestions?

The first question simply answered. It can't. the 10.1 you can get on the droid is beta and the droid hardware is not stellar. When my wife's droid incredible gets the OTA update I will check and see if it's just hardware. Sorry.

The second question. First, from you home screen, press your new fancy dedicated browser button to pull up the stock one. Press the menu softkey. Press more (bottom right in portrait, far right in landscape). Scroll to the bottom where it says settings. Now, under settings, my "enable plug-ins" option is the 10th from the top. This pulls up to "Always on, On demand, and Off" Just select on demand.

Hey. Quick reply on the widgets/icons disappearing when programs are moved to the SD card. I had mentioned earlier that some shortcuts disappeared from the main program list/menu, while others didn't. Well, today, after ~24 hours, all of the program shortcuts are magically back and working. Seems you just have to wait a little and it will fix itself.

ATTENTION: Motorola and Verizon have found issue with this OTA update and it is rumored that there will be another next week. For those who have already installed this, don't freak out, you will be able to install the new update right over this one. For those who have not already installed this, it's probably best to wait until next week. Stay tuned for more information..

I manually installed the 2.2 update yesterday. Do you think the new OTA update will update my phone automatically, or will I have to do it manually to return to stock?

Thanks!!

they probably realized they forgot to take out usb tether and want to make sure it is taken out lol

I doubt that that is the reason. From what I have been told, anyone who tries to turn on USB Tether from a stock build is redirected to Verizon's website to buy a contract for it.

There are just too many issues going on for that to be the only reason. I mean just read this thread alone and don't even look at the many others that have been started and you will see what I am taking about.

Note Kernel is not used

Dude, thanks for the link but seems broken, although this thread is for the Droid build, looks like we, the Milestone users can also taste a little of this update, sorry for hijacking (again)

You know... i actually did kinda think that this build felt a little... unfinished. For example, (sorry, i can't provide screenshots as im a noob and dont know how) if you go to live wallpapers, on the stock update, and hit the neural network one, there's no styleizing on the background like there was on 2.1. Also, in the messaging client, the background is white instead of black. Anyone else find anything similar? Also, i notice the phone heats up A LOT when it's moving at full tilt (600 mHz) and are we supposed to get a kernal for a speed bump with this update as well?

I Keep hearing how this update is for the 1st Droid W/ ver.2.1 update1,
Well what i wonder is, Is it only for the Droid or any of the Andoid phones
with the Same 2.1 w/update1. i have the droid 1 that i bought in Dec 09 but currently use the Droid X i bought a cple weeks ago.
I just wonder if FroYo will be offered to all the phones or is it Strictly for the 1st Droids?

Anyone got any ideas?

What if any is the advantage to doing this now, other than you get it before Verizon sends it out? Is there anything in this version that would work better or more than what you phone carrier would send you??? i do'n't see the point.

That is the exact update that Verizon was sending to everyone. But, like 2.1, it had so many issues that Verizon pulled it from the OTA and is going to send out a new update that doesn't have those bugs.

If you don't mind the issues that come along with the first official update linked to in that post, then go right ahead and update. You will then get another update for the new one. Otherwise, just wait for the new package to come out and update with that instead.

I successfully did the 2.2 update yesterday, thanks to the excellent instructions in this thread. Was running the 2.1 update 1 (never tried rooting). It went just as predicted.

I noticed the alarm app has been replaced by a clock app and when docked to the MM docking station, the look is different now.

The issue I'm having is that the Droid keeps losing my wireless signal, it seems to cycle scan-connect-disconnect even when next to my router. 3G seems ok, when I'm out of wireless range. Anyone know why the wireless connection would be so flaky?

Thanks
