I responded to your email, sorry for the delay. It makes logical sense to release to employees on a nonholiday and nonsaturday due those are high volume days with long waits. This could very well crash the system if done on these two days of any week. It would not crash just employees but regular customer network as well since they are the same network. Most people wont know the actual release date cause they will be off work. And everyone knows only way to upgrade employee or advantage is through a sprint computer at work. Over the phone orders department was shutdown back in august i believe, so no one will be placing orders over the phone. Sunday on the 24th will literally split employee orders in half as that shift who will know about it the day of can place their orders on lunch, break, or after work. The other half wont really get the chance to order theirs until end of the week cause that will be their down time. Those with unofficial advantage club memberships have to buy theirs outright on ebay/craigslist. Sprint is fully aware of the unofficial members and hopes this will weed them out. Hence the shuttung down of employee telesales over the phone. This will be the bulk of the call volume at first but will die down within 48 hours (monday & tuesday) after they realize they are not getting an evo through normal means. These spike in calls will prevent the 2nd half of employees that start monday from ordering their phones cause most of them are also stupid enough to call employee telesales to place the order cause they forgot the memo back in july that said no more phone upgrades will be placed over the phone.. So They will think they just got an idiot rep who didnt know what they were talking about and continue to call themselves for another 24-48 hours until they realize they need to place the order through their computer online on friday... And dont forget the sad idiots who cant pay a $20 cellphone bill wanting to call in to make payment arrangements so they can order the evo without getting disconnected cause they didnt pay the bill in 3 months and wants to why their bill is so high and demand a credit on a $20 cellphone bill because they were charged a late fee and feel because they work sprint, they shouldnt have to pay it.
