EVO availability for sprint employees and advantage club

I was able to place my order through the Advantage website just a few moments ago. I called my sponsor and talked to her about the shortage and she said she wasn't aware of one for advantage club members. She did say the site has had so much traffic it has had some hiccups allowing access to it. I would try the site again. It did warn me that processing might take longer than normal. My sponsor all ready approved my order so it wasn't too long for me.

I also verified. Currently no shortages. Appears was a technical problem that kept stating out of stock. HOWEVER... There is a note during the order process for SWAC members, that due to a lot of orders, expect delays in shipping. This is because SWAC Members must be verified 2 or 3 times, once by the Sponsor, once by Sprint, once by the warehouse. SO you can expect EVO shipping times to take up to 2 weeks... I personal guess, if you have yours ordered by 11am this morning, should expect it next week (EWD should expect it by friday). After 11am, probably 10 days. But this is not bad, at least the damn order is in right? WOOHOO, I was able to order my EWD one and a couple other SWAC members. (When i say verified, I mean ALL SWAC orders must be physically pass through 2 peoples desk so they can personally look at them and verify they are legit SWAC members.)

My plan is now the "Sprint Wirelss Advantage Premium 500." Monthly cost is now a flat $40 and includes the following:


  • Sprint Wireless Advantage Premium
  • $30.00 Minimum Monthly Charge

  • America - Roaming Included
  • Unlimited Any Mobile, Anytime
  • Unlimited SMS Text Messaging

So that includes ur 4g right. I have 20$ plan (Sprint Advantage Club) plan with Pre....So my plan goes up by another 20$. So if I ever stop using EVO and go back to Pre, my plan CAN go back to 20$.

I'm pretty sure the Palm Pre requires the Premium SWAC plan, which is $30 a month. The EVO will only be $10 more because of the premium data charge.

it is simple... for the lowest mins plans 500...

all smartphones are now $30/month...

dumb phones are $20

EVO and EPIC.. add $10.

dont confuse yourself and try to find loopholes.

My order was entered at 11:03pm Central on Nov 1st. No shipping info as of yet. Takes around 24hours to ship after order has been entered.

i was announced.. several months ago...Your sponsor was to send you an email about it... why dont you call them and ask!

it was to start in Oct or Nov... not sure.

it affected all smartphones.
and told us that we would also see the $10 for EVO/EPIC.

dan330 is correct: all Sprint smartphones now cost $30 per month. The Epic and the EVO, due to their mobile hotspot capabilities, include an additional $10 fee, which I don't believe is optional even if you live in an area that doesn't feature outstanding 4G coverage.

I entered the Town Center Plaza, i.e., Leawood, store early today but I agree that the customer service was exceptional. Bear in mind that the store opened two hours earlier than usual in order to accommodate people like me. Also bear in mind that the flood of people into the three participating stores was certain to be great for the Epic and EVO. Finally, bear in mind that, so far as I know, the sales associates in the retail stores have been waiting as long as we have to get their hands on their own Epics and EVOs.

All in all, I applaud Sprint's customer service. In fact, all of my in-store experiences have been terrific. I can only think of one time that I contacted Customer Care by phone and received so-so service, mainly because of a language barrier (and not because the Care representative didn't care to do her job).

Does anyone know if the sprint hotspot is free for SWAC? I enabled it for a second to see if there was anything about adding it to your plan, but there wasn't... I assumed it would cost 30 extra still... but if its free then that will be awesome!

BTW what speed have everyone been getting (for those with 4G)? so far my download is 6 which isn't to bad....

this is 99% true..
the htc tp2 does not require you to move to a premium data plan :)
and if you do not want to spend the extra 10-20$ per month to move to android, you can dual boot android 2.2 and wm :)
