Accessories Got an HTC 1500mah battery today.

I did the maths when I got mine a few months ago and if I did them correct the 1800mah bat should give you a ~27% increase in capacity. I went from getting 6-8hrs w/ normal use to easily 15 - 20 hrs (I have gotten 2 full days off one charge before with light use) so your charger is going to start to feel lonely if you're already getting good life out of your stock battery.
Oh yeah...I can't wait to neglect my charger. :)

Anyone Just using their OEM charger for the htcexpress 1800 batteries?

or Using the charger that came with it if you bought the charger/batt combo?

Just was wondering..

I use my stock charger that came with my phone. When I first got my 1800 battery I put it in its cheap-O-charger for the initial charge(s). I tried plugging my phone into it once and it caused my screen to stop responding and go wacky! once I unplugged it the phone went back to normal again.. :/ so maybe mine is defective but what do you want from a $5 charger? it at least charges just the batteries fine so it does work just not as a usb charger. This was my experience though.. :)

I was skeptical to say the least when reading the posts in this thread but i went ahead and ordered the 2 batteries and a charger for $40 from these chichitec folks and wow! I am impressed. I am only just going through the first few cycles with these batteries (it is taking a long time because they actually last!!!) and I am getting 24+ hours out of them (i just got 28 hours out of one) not sure on the up time but I never got more than 14 hours out of the stock battery with similiar use! no brainer here... juice to spare...

I guess I'm the only one disapointed with the 1800's battery's.. I barely get 20 hours with little use. (texting and a few phone calls usually) I thought it would be better after a few cylces, but it's not... did I get duds? I tried both of the ones I got, same results. Surprisingly I was getting close to that with my stock 1300.

I have gotten ~40hrs of standby and yea, around 20hrs with light use. If you were getting that with the stock battery not only are you the single most lucky Droid Incredible owner on the planet but also justified in your not being impressed. Might not hurt to see if you did get duds but the chances that both your batteries are duds is pretty slim one of those "what are the chances?" kinda things.

Is this 1800 mah battery the same size as a standard battery as I'm thinking about picking it up for my mom as her DI dies on her by 5 o'clock everyday from barely any use. I know there's more to it and when I have the time, I'll be installing a more battery optimized ROM, but until then, how is this battery?

The 1800 mAh is slightly thicker than the stock battery, and it adds a bit more weight to the phone. The 1800 mAh battery I ordered just arrived today. I popped it in the phone and was a bit surprised by the bulk it added to the phone. I can definitely feel a weight difference when it's in my pocket. The battery cover also bows a bit in the middle, but I have a hard silicone cover on the phone so it's not distracting. It's not even distracting without the cover.

Right now the battery is at 52% and I'm going to try and discharge it before the evening's end so I can give it a full charge. I also installed Lou's Kernel #4 this morning, so it's probably not the best time to try and break in a new battery. We'll see how all this works out.

BTW, Brave Little Toaster! :)

I've noticed a few users saying that their back "bows" with the 1800 mAh? Mine doesn't bow at all so I'm kind of shocked to hear this. I have noticed that you have to be firmer putting the battery back on with this battery versus the stock. Am I the only one who's battery cover doesn't bow?

mine doesn't really bow, if it does it isn't noticeable.

Maybe "bow" isn't the best word. It bulges just a tad, but it's almost unnoticeable unless you're looking for it - and I'm one of those people who looks for such things. It definitely takes more effort to snap the cover closed, but it still fits.

I'm only on my second day of use with the 1800mAh battery, but I am impressed. It's been just over six hours since I unplugged my phone and my battery percentage is sixty-eight. With the stock battery I'd be well into the low fifties by this point in the day. I hope this performance holds up, and maybe it will get even better once I cycle it through a few times.

I got the Chichitecs 2 x 1800's plus charger today, didn't even notice the slightly thicker batteries until it was pointed out in this thread. The case does take slightly more effort to close, but it's not noticeable at all on either of my DIncs.

I charged mine through the USB cable plugged into my laptop. Waited till the green light(Came at 66%, took about an hour wasn't really paying attention), turned phone off, continued charging both until green light again which took about another hour, probably less.

Now 88%, 7 hours standby, 30 mins uptime including installing gingerbread keyboard, playing with keyboard, sending texts and taking/sending picture.

Very long charge times, but that could simply be because of the greater capacity. Def lasts much longer than stock. Mine does not bow but the bottom part of the case doesn't quite close all the way. It's closed but it creaks, if that makes sense. It's like I need a couple of millimeters less. Is there a way to make it fit completely, like shaving something or other?

I got the two 1800 mah batteries & charger from ChiChiTec yesterday (bought them on eBay for $34.99 including shipping) and so far they seem good. I put one into the charger right away and the other one into my phone. Battery Indicator said that the battery had 66% remaining and it lasted through the evening with light surfing, a half hour of games, checking Facebook & email, and then all night long and still had 10% left this morning - something that never would have happened with the stock battery. I put the fully charged battery in this morning and usually I'm at about 50-60% left on the battery by about 11:00 am and today after normal usage I'm at 73% at 1:45 pm with 6:27:12 on the up time and 1:40:33 awake time. So not too shabby. If this continues (or even imporoves after a few charging cycles :D) I'll be a happy camper!

UPDATE: It's now been 24:54 since I put the 1800 in the phone and I've got 3:32 awake time and still have 14% battery remaining! I love this battery! Not having to charge the phone during the day or have it plugged in at night is freakin' awesome!

Mine has no problem fitting under the stock cover. You do have to use some force to get it to completely fit. I click the top first then the sides until I click the bottom.

Darn. I must have received 3 batteries that were a little larger. I have 3 DI's and it happens to all 3 with all 3 batteries. As I say, it closes, but the bottom squeaks and doesn't close completely. I've done it your way and the reverse way on all 3 and they still have a little give at the bottom.

I have 3 original Incredibles so perhaps they made them smaller at the outset? I might head into a Verizon store and test this out. I'd even be willing to buy another back cover if that would fix it.

Just received the HTCExpress 1800mah. So far, it's looking like it's doing better. Hard to say without running it through it's paces for a few days.

I don't notice any temperature differences. It does seem like it's a little heavier. No problems with the back fitting on.

I'll report back. Keeping my fingers crossed it doesn't burst into flames while in my pocket. That would suck. ;-)
