Help Anyway to Change the Default Calendar View?

The calendar app seems to just remember the last screen it was on. I prefer the month view, but there doesn't seem to be a preference to set the initial view. Here's what I do as a work around.

(1) Open the calendar app and set it (using the menu) to the view you prefer.
(2) Use the home button (at the bottom of the Droid) to exit the calendar app, NOT the back button.
(3) Reboot the Droid. (Long press the power button, select shut down, then restart the Droid).

This will leave your calendar in the startup view you want, and the back button will take you back to the home screen, not another one of the calendar screens. You can change the view mode all you like, and hitting the back button will step you back until you get to the startup mode view you are using, with another back press taking you out of the calendar app. It will remain this way until you (deliberately or accidentally) use the home button to exit the calendar app, and subsequently reboot your Droid.

Not as good as a preference, but works fine for me. :D

I've been doing the same but I think a reboot isn't required. It works for me without the reboot anyway. :D

This worked on my t-mobile G2. The reboot was necessary.

Thanks,

Hi..

Dont know if im late.. but i just figured out the logic...

If you want your default view to be month view..
Select month view...then select week view.. then day view..

if you want it to be day view..
Select day view..then week view.. then month view...

if you want it to be week view..
Select week view..then month.. then day...

There is no particular order.. but the default view you want should be selected first..then select the other two views... and voila! your default view will change! ..:D
