SwiftKey Beta Keyboard in market

Bad news for you... the stock keyboard does the same thing. It goes hand in hand with anything that uses a predictive dictionary.

Does it really? I wasn't aware the stock KB could tell what you typed and whatnot.

Not that I'm hiding anything but the fact that it does that will make me avoid entering passwords, cc cards, etc from now on when I'm using my DInc

I've used "better keyboard", swype, swiftkey, vlingo's, stock, droidx. DroidX is no good to me neither is better keyboard. Stock is very decent. Vlingo's is decent.

Swype is the shiz. Swiftkey is very cool and after a few learning sessions gives my swype some serious competition. When my fingers are damp and swyping is tough then swiftkey is awesome. At home in the AC swype rules all especially for verbose txt'rs :) I love variety!

I have a new game where I type in a couple letters and keep letting it auto-complete for me until it ends the sentence.

Examples:
Under the advice of one of the day.
Old Mutual Place, London, UK.
Good luck with the word.
For those of you who have been a bit of a question about the whole thing was that the information in this outgoing message.

Try it.

Keyboards Tried:
Stock (Touch Input)
MotoX
Swype
SwiftKey

My Default:
MotoX

As a two handed texter, portrait or landscape, Swype wasn't a solid fit for me. Now I am not saying that it isn't an exception keyboard because it really really is. The MotoX multi-touch keyboard just fit my needs better and allowed me to type faster 2 handed than Swype would allow 1 handed.

However, I am trying SwiftKey and I like it a lot. Same excellent touch response as the MotoX (with the awesome addition of vibrating feedback). I'd like a mic button and a few other little things but I am going to give it a week and see what its 'learning' abilities really are.

I want to say this though, the vibration I thought would be a deal breaker on the X keyboard and it ended up being too good of a keyboard for that to happen. I am hoping the lack of mic and others, double space to period function can be overcome by its awesomeness.

motox keyboard vibrates now for the incredible. download the updated version

I tried swift key way back when you had to donload the .apk, this version is much smoother. I have been using for the day. Not sure if its faster, but it is great for my awful spelling and a little easier on my my fingers. Way less actual typing.

So far, I would give it a 7. If it gets more skins, and maybe a little more custom settings, I would rate it an 8 or 9.

Smart Keyboard pro is my alternative. I used to use better keyboard, but it started getting all buggy on me and had to switch.

Here in the humid South, swiping (or shapewriting for me) is great and all, but impossible outdoors or any other time where my fingers might be moist.

So tapping will never be obsolete for me. I tried SwiftKey, but it can't predict my unpredictable typing habits. Smart Keyboard Pro is the only way I can tap.

What did you like about HTC IME? When I tried this, it was way to much like stock. Sure it has a couple cool mods but, nothing that really tickled my fancy. Perhaps I was missing out on features. Please explain :D

Key size customization and autocorrect are the two functions I like the most. Other than that you're right, it does work a lot like stock. I actually like the stock keyboard, but my fat thumbs hit the wrong keys too much. With this I fly!

Here is the full feature list:

Customizable language settings,
Smileys hacked into the hide key (see screen shots),
Swap Smiley/12# button,
Custom smileys,
Custom word candidate bar that raises the keyboards so dictionary won't cover the app you type in,
Position of word candidate list is saved if you long press and move it,
Left align word candidate list,
Prediction in fields with own suggestions (search bar etc.),
Prediction in fields that sets the filter flag,
Prediction in URL fields,
