why have launcher pro

If I download launcher pro.or.adw ex. Can I delet them in the market? Will my phone go back to originallauncher. Can I have both adw and launcher pro. Will it hurt phone to add them and delete

Yes, you can try out a launcher and your phone will go right back to stock once you delete it. Before you install a launcher make sure you have all your widgets and live wall papers closed on your stock launcher because they will still run in the back ground and slow your phone down.

No it will not hurt the stock launcher at all. Technically the new launcher is just runing on top of the stock launcher. Yes, delete all widgets and if you like ADW you can add themes or purchase the ex version like i did. Launcher pro has just sorta become outdated with all the new features other launchers are coming out with. Stock is good but is very laggy...you will not meet one person on these forums who like moto blur

I've been using LPP since soon after getting the phone. I haven't tried ADW or Go or any other. Here's what I like about LPP vs. Blur (stock):

1. Scrollable bottom dock with up to 15 shortcuts.
2. Scrollable widgets - I use People, Facebook and Calendar
3. Homescreens preview
4. Option to increase the number of homescreens (though I have mine limited to 4 currently

You can have 30 shortcuts on the lpp dock, 15 that you tap to open and 15 you swipe up to open

One thing LP can do that I haven't seen ADW do is totally hijack your phone and make it extremely difficult to uninstall. We're running LP on my wife's phone, and ADW on mine to compare. Last night LP took over my wife's phone in some sort of loop we couldn't break. Searched various forums and found solutions but none would work for me. Eventually got it off the phone, but it wasn't fun and I don't think I'll be revisiting that program.

The main difference I noticed was LP's widgets, which neither of us were interested in anyway. We liked LP's notification capabilities, but then I discovered that ADW has an add-on service to do the same thing. I tried to give LP a fair evaluation but just don't trust it after what it did to our phone (and apparently quite a few others)

I've been running LPP since last summer and I have never had it "hijack" my phone. I had a few odd ball FC issues for awhile, but that is all resolved. Overall I have been thrilled with LPP.

I have been considering trying some of the others though, just to see how they compare. But I think you really need to use one over the course of weeks to really know how you like it.

I did notice that removing Blur widgets improved things for some reason. I don't really care for the Blur widgets anyway.

I'm in the same boat. I really like LPP and installed it shortly after getting my phone. The only issues I've had were very small. When I hear of something which is supposedly better (ADW), I get curious to check it out. I think I'll install ADW and see how it goes but I wonder what's missing from it that ADW-EX has.

you can have as many launchers as you want. LP and ADW are the most popular. they are far faster and pretty much completely customizable where the stock launcher isn't

put apps in the dock at the bottom, and change their icons. LPP allows you to change the dock background (pretty much the ONLY thing keeping me with LPP now...please add this ADW)
change scrolling speeds, screen change animations, font size, dock styles, number of screens, bounce effects. both of these are leaps and bounds ahead of the stock blur launcher...that thing makes the phone seem so slow.
