when will the thunderbolt be released?

Any 4.3" (or 4") dual core handsets with kickstand on the horizon?

When the EVO is not in my pocket it's nearly always perched on its kickstand & really appreciate this simple feature. I've seen select cases include kickstands now but obviously not universal.

Surprised we don't have more concrete specs & release date than "4G LTE devices available from Verizon Wireless by the middle of 2011"

Oh and a verizon rep called me today about an early upgrade offer. I said I would wait for the LTE phones and asked if he knew when the Thunderbolt was coming out. He said he didn't know.

+1 I think they have a target date, or a "soft" date, but they are unwilling or not allowed to convey that to the public yet. Just my $.02 With the dumps we've seen posted and the accessories already on sale on Amazon, I think we're looking at March, no later. The DX was about 45 days from the first photos not taken by Mr Blurrycam (we're past that) and about 30 days from the official announcement IIRC. I could be off by a week or two here.

This site lists the release date as January 31. I don't know how reliable they are, but it the first time I've seen ANYTHING in writing.

I tried looking up reviews and didn't really get anywhere, but the website is liked by a lot of people on facebook and it doesn't look like many of those half baked ones out there. Who knows maybe it is accurate, I definitely hope so that would be great!

I was watching the tube last night and they had a verizon commercial where a box is delivered to a guy and he takes it to his barn and opens it up can carries out a bolt of lightning...thought it was a commercial for the thunderbolt but it was just an add promoting verizon's 4g/LTE network. I don't get the adds promoting the network without phones? Sure you can use it for laptop or other devices but the bulk of the usage would be for phones it seems to me. Struck me as a dumb add promoting the network without a phone.
