My solution for short battery life

This is just the fact, all smart phones have short battery life. I carried two extra batteries and a wall plug charger around. Then I still found it annoying has to shut down the phone to replace battery. So I tried those external battery charging pack, like those iphone users have to use.

Tried the New Trent IMP500, IMP50D, and IMP1000. The results are

IMP1000 - it works but too heavy to carry around. I returned it.

IMP50D - two USB charging ports. It sounds promising. One port has a higher Amp output for charging IPAD too. However, if connect to MT4G without pressing the power button on IMP50D, it actually drain battery from the phone. There is no locking mechanism or any kind on the power button. It's flat and easily be hit. By carrying it, you might end up draining battery instead of charging. Also, it takes a very very long time to get a full charge to the phone. Not practical.

Now this is the winner IMP500. It's light weight and very portable. Only 1 USB port but it charges MT4G very quickly. The power button needs to be press and hold to turn on and off. So it will avoid accidentally turning on and off. Compared to IMP50D, it won't reverse drain the battery of the phone if connected without power on.

So I have been carrying this little piece around on trips. I can just it to charge if I see the phone battery is running low. Then in 2 hours or so, it becomes 80% charged. Very happy with it.

Well you can always get extended battery pack or higher mAh for stock size. ATM I am waiting for Mugen Power 1650mAh stock size to come back as they are out of stock but the current 1400mAh stock battery in MT4G is decent if you have it setup correctly. I just got done with below link before some fool fanboy came try to cry about things he didn't understand.

You realize its just not X amount mAh but its the quality of the LiIo that matters, this is why MP has hit it off with so many folks. As I have tested it and covered it even on XDA as does countless others who can verify it. Ill give you example my last phone had 1230mAh stock battery but I got 1300mAh MP stock size which increased 1 1/2hour of run time or 8hours of light idle time. Now keep in mind this is just 70mAh which means nothing actually but what happened? How did I get longer run/idle time? This is due to superior battery cell as the grade of the item which was built with quality. As that exactly what you are paying for.

Far as video goes my video is superior as its encoded specially for being device specific(video.HD profile posted in XDA). Its not just some inferior hack conversion as its HD. Far as music goes :p I always have it running as I am here now with WiFi using forum App.

I don't really care how superior your video encoder, or how superior your battery cell is made of. I like my phone and I like to use it the way I want (and as WIFI hot spot often). I want to have the external battery charger so I do not have to worry if I'm on the road for extended period of time. So I tried these New Trent products and reported what I like about.
