I have a TON of people in my Twitter feed retweeting what supposedly Verizon posted a while back, tonight, Verizon is attending a thing called "TechCocktail" its being held in Baltimore tonight

WAY OFF TOPIC: This has a lot of downside for RIM in that it's opening the door for people to leave behind the blackberries and it could weaken the BBM image because the non-BB users are getting a watered down version of BBM. If they were to roll out a fully featured app with a reasonable one-time cost, then it could work... otherwise, fail.

There was already rumors that RIM was working on a way to get Android apps to work on there Black Berries, so it looks like in exchange, Android will get BBM. Sounds like a cross over OS to me..

Well - with BB still showing 27% penetration and a need for relevancy in the face of Android's growth - it's not a _bad_ thing - it's just an issue that it may be watered down as HighHandicap points out.

Only reason they did was to get people to choose on which iPad to buy
it doesn't have voice but you can bet that if they get an iPad there likely to get an iPhone shortly after if they don't already have one, meaning Verizon took that opportunity to show that there better than AT&T, so those choosing, will get an iPad 2 and then the iPhone 5 when it launches etc...

its just marketing... I'm still holding out for an announcement for Tbolt today or tonight at that shindig

Bennnnn did say though that the tentative announcement was suppose to happen today. He never gave a time, the troll Jerry played off his comment to give the time.

I just pointed out in another thread and I'll do it here. Ben5 over at AC has said TWICE that this Jerryyyyy character is not his friend, that he doesn't know who he is and that he has no connection to him whatsoever. Jerryyyyyy is just using Ben5's post to troll the forums and grab some attention to himself. Anything he says should be completely ignored.
