Root Spb Mobile Shell 5.0 prison break! lol

I just switched back to this to give it another try...set up my homescreen how i like it, and so far it's not bad....I feel like it might affect the phones performance slightly though.

See, my version doesn't have a phone icon in the dock. And some of my apps aren't showing up. That's becoming a deal breaker really quick

Obviously it's not finished because it's still in Beta, but I think there's a lot to come. This is just the beginning, without the home screens the app is nothing, now that the home screens are in place, I can see them adding a lot of features and customization over it.

While I agree, as of right now it's not worth it, I hope it the future it will be much better.

Deleted app.....

Now I know why I did not care for this app.
Its like having a bike with training wheels on it.
I don't need no stinking train'in wheels LOL:D

Thank you for the look-see, appreciate your efforts :)
IMHO app is a fail:eek:

No problem. Everythings not for everyone. It does need work before I can fully dedicate it TO myself. It is A beta though

OK, have it all set-up. It took a little time, but it is working really nice. I have used both LauchProPlus, GoLauncher and was currently using ADW EX. Here are my takes.

Cons -
-No app drawer all apps show on screens. To clean this up I have created a folder category for all my different apps. This has worked real nice.
-You can not place the apps on screen where you want them. On my home screen I like to have my time and weather widget at the top and a couple of my most used app links at the bottom with nothing in between, however you can't do this the app links go right below the time/weather.
-Some widgets that take up two rows will have other widgets/links cover them up (this only happens on widgets that take up two rows.
-I have nothing in the left dock button and you can't get the dialer there manually.

Pros -
Very snappy, been running it for the last half of the day and I have had no delays or any freezes.
-All widgets that I use seem to work with no problem on this.
-There are some nice widgets that are included, when you go to the screen edit if there is a green arrow you can expand the shortcut to a widget and they are very nice, messaging, gallery, calendar, call log and so on. Would be nice if Gmail would do this as well.
-Their panels are nice, I really like the weather and the calendar is nice.

All-in-all I would give this a pass. I am going to keep as my default launcher for a few more days, but could see myself going back to ADW EX at this point. However for a bata this is a nice product. The big question I have now is what is the price point on this going to be. If they try and go with their $20+ price point on Android I think this will fail. I think the highest price point that will really work is maybe $5. They would have to add some features to this for me to feel that dropping $5 would be worth it. Free however it is nice. :)

Works on Tranq 3.7
Seems more difficult to go thru my apps to me. My version also doesn't have a phone icon @ the bottom left either. It is pretty tho. I might like it if I took the time to customize it. LPP has been working well for me, and I'm not sure I have the patience for what this would take to get it to my liking.

Kev, great review man. You said exactly what I was thinking!

So I am thinking that the dialer not showing on the dock is the ROM build you (we) are on. I tried to load this on my S7 tablet and it loaded, but I don't have a search hard button so I could not get past the Compatibility error (I tried long and short pushes on all my hard buttons). However I can see in the dock a dialer on my tablet. I am using the same apk so I will have to say it is the rom.
