Hmm, is it a linear change with Quadrant? Since my rooted Droid gives me a result of 1,000 on average, does that mean this device would be nearly twice as fast?

That would apply to the CPU ( a linear relationship). The 8255 cpu is about 25% "faster" than the the Snap in the Inc. Please note this is just the CPU and not the GPU, which will boost a score for 3D function and textures.
The issue here is the weighting of all tests and this impacts sensitivity of certain changes. Quadrant devs have not devulged their weighting, so no absolute way to relate things.
As far as CPU speed, the newest OMAP is the fastest, closely followed by the Tegra 2. The Hummingbird is also faster than the 8255 (GSM version of the 8655 in the TB). The GPU is a big factor, but a lot of app funtions do not leverage the GPU.
Still, 99% of folks will be 100% happy with the TB. Not too many game emulator folks that play N64 and PSX, so not harm no foul
I think these tests are inaccurate I think you have to do them like 10 mins apart. Because all it does is keep going up because it is still runnng high from last test

Those are nice scores. So compared to the Droid X which hits the mid 1400's, the cpu is still 1ghz but I assume the graphics chip is more robust(adreno 205) and the reason the higher scores?
