Root quickanswer.. have to send to htc how to restore..

by doing fastboot oem boot

you will need to boot to fastboot (holding back and power)
you will need the sdk tools so you can use fastboot from a pc

the type

fastboot oem boot. the device will reboot and five you a load of info in the cmd prompt. there will be a section that says CID IS

its not a case if just assuming what one you need as the downloads are large and if its the wrong one it will give you a CID error

run the command i asked
when connected to your computer (from the android sdk folder)

altho at a guess you are either on 2.29.405.2 or 2.29.405.5 due to the radio version

best bet is to try downloading the 2.29.405.5 RUU from shipped roms

use a download manager like freedownloadmanager to ensure its downloaded without error

sweet... gonna let it run in stock for a day or so to see if it still reboots and overheats... apparently its a motherboard problem, but research seen people with this problem htc return the phone with a message of nothing was wrong with the phone and they just run an RUU..

hmm anyone had repairs done by htc and know if they are quicker than their predicted times...
