Help Trouble connecting to PC

I am follow the instructions that come with the manual on the Verizon website. It says:
1. connect phone to computer ...done with usb
2. on the phone tap disk drive...done
3. navigate to the removable disk and open it..done
4. copy htcsync.exe to your computer...CAN'T FIND IT!!

I have looked in every folder on the drive (it is the droid) but am unable to find this program...Any suggestions??

Yeah manually DL HTC sync like he said above... also, I was having trouble just like you until I set it to disk drive by default in settings/Connect to PC/Default connection type. Even though I was choosing disk drive when connecting it didn't see it as a drive till I made it the default. Coulda been a random coincidence though because it works fine now, but give it a try.

This is really lame. I tried all of the above and could not connect the Thunderbolt to the PC using a simple USB cable. I took the 32GB card out and connected it directly to the PC. My HP WebOS phone connects up via USB without any hassle. I'm a technical consultant for HP. If someone technical can't get it to connect then there is a problem.

So far this phone both impresses the hell out of me and at the same time pisses me off!
