I watched an episode of Top Gear and they had the Veyron. He had it on a flat straight track that went on for miles and had it wide open. It took him right around 10 to 15 minutes to run a full tank of gas out. That is insane.

I saw that to. I swear Jeremy was going to stick his dohicky in the exhaust pipe. I liked when they raced it against an old mclearan(ithink that was the car). Mclearan had it for a while till all those horses got pissed and started running.

I like how this whole topic changed to talking about bugatti's lol.

honestly if a bughatti owner had a problem with anything, i think they are wealthy enough to just get it fixed, and NOT complain on an online forum. i am sure there are problems that we will never hear of. NOTHING susceptible to issues except Heidi Klum.

Over the past few days my battery life has been seeming to improve at an incredible rate. I work overnight as a police officer and for the last 3 nights I took it off charge at 10 pm and had a few phone calls and text messages and maybe 20 min of playing games. By 3 am I am still showing fully charged on the battery or just under full. Between 3:30 and 5:30 I have heavier usage. Off at 8 am and have still been between 55 and 70 % left on the meter. After off use the phone off and on the rest of the day and usually hit the 15 % warning around 6 pm.

I'm not in a 4g area and use wifi when at home. I can't get over the increased performance over the last few days.

Anyone else seeing this or am I just getting lucky here?

Same here. Totally acceptable at this point. 16 hrs with phone calls, game playing, texting 4g. Love the phone. Coming from an Incredible.

I have noticed that it is lasting longer. Yesterday was the first time that i didnt need to charge it over night. Soon people will be complaining that the battery is lasting to long.

i send ~200 txts and probably 30mins of voice a day, and occasionally use data(i'm at like 250mb so far since release day, obviously no 4g in my area) and my phone usually gets down to like the high 60's by the end of the day. not bad at all.

I have as well. While at work and home, I do wifi, and I had almost 14 hrs yesterday, with 5 1/2 hours of good usage (texts, downloading apps, online, a few phone calls, etc etc) and got to 3% before I charged. I am very happy so far, my usage will decrease as I play less and less on it in the coming weeks. But I am seeing 12-14 hrs a day now, after 5 days.

I've been destroying my battery with a little nostalgia the last few days(gba emulator), but I have been getting a 5-6 hours of playtime each day on the emulator(I have been super bored the last couple days)

5-6 hours of playtime on gameboid impresses the heck out of me

Everyone wanting to use their phone like a computer and be able to make calls and play games and check emails all day should never buy a laptop or netbook. They will be appalled when they have to plug it in to charge the computers battery after a few hours of use.

Don't come from a blackberry or Droid with a slower processor, smaller screen and less capabilities and be shocked that battery life isn't the same. I talked to a guy at work yesterday that bought a Droid 2 and wanted to return the thing because he ONLY got 8 hours out of the battery.. he was coming from a MOTO flip phone that got days off of one charge. Everyone's expectations for these smart phones battery life are just too high.

I have seen a very good improvment on mine it lasts all day and charge it at night and once a week I after being on the charger over night I unplug it turn it off plug it back in until the led is green unplug it turn it on for 2 min. turn it off plug it in until it turns green again and that is what has helped the most I love this phone best droid around

I most certainly expect to have my damn cake and eat it too for the price I am paying for this phone. If the phone was not ready, it shouldn't have been released. Simple as that. HTC was so eager to be the first LTE phone on the VZW network that they cut corners and put out a less-than-quality phone. If the phone can only hold a certain size battery, then I will certainly fault the manufacturer of the phone.

I had no real expectations other than I wanted it to perform as my Eris did but faster. It was only slightly visibly faster and it did not perform to the standards the Eris did.

yup. you use another app called rom gripper(there are diff ones but its the one I use) to find the games, and gameboid just plays them

I had no real expectations other than I wanted it to perform as my Eris did but faster. It was only slightly visibly faster and it did not perform to the standards the Eris did.

if you are not happy with the tb's battery life then there are only 2 things it could be(your post didn't sound happy). 1 bad battery(nothing to do with the tb) 2 your expectations were higher than what the tb could actually do

Everytime I drive by a cop, they are on their phone. If I did that while I worked, well I wouldn't have a job.

It's my second TB with the same results. And we have 2 TB's in the house with the same results. If I were to go get another I would be the poster boy for the definition of insanity. LOL

htc provided you with the expected power time for the tb(I get a little above the 5-6 advertised). to get the tb knowing that it won't match up to a previous phone(in battery life), and then complaining about it, is silly at best.

We're in a 4g area and tomorrow is the end of our return period. My son's TB dies at 4pm. I installed Phone Info on his and forced him to 3g while I keep mine at 4g. He's been texting me that he's using his phone just as much, and I'm using mine a lot as well. It's 1pm and I'm at 50%. I've made no calls and sent 10 texts, I haven't had the screen on for anything else but texting. He's sent about 60 texts and shown friends some stuff on his TB during lunch. His last text said he's at 80%.

If you're facing a return deadline and on the fence, and you're in a 4g area, get Phone Info and kill 4g until the tower density is what it should be and HTC gets the radio firmware sorted out, or 1800mah batteries come out.

I wonder if the main reason y people are complaing about the battery is
