2750 Mah Battery

I just got 2750 mah battery last night for my thunderbolt and its pretty awesome. I have been on 4g all day today, i took it off the charger at 7am and its up to 83% battery life. Normally i would be at 30% by 9am

I originally returned my TB because of the joke of a battery. I am now selling my VZW iPhone and ordered a TB at full retail with the extended battery. The extended battery is on back order

I am glad to hear it will make a difference! I hope the come out with a slim 1800 or 1900 though. Does it ruin the look and feel too bad?

It actually feels nice in your hand. its currently 2:56pm and I'm at 56% battery did not charge once all day.

Those of you with it, how long is it taking you to fully charge it from near-dead? Just curious as to what kind of time we're talkin to recharge it. I assume overnight easily covers it, but just wondered if anyone had checked.
I plug the phone in at night and it's always fully charged in the morning. Since there is always plenty of extra battery life at the end of a day, charge time is not an issue.

I don't know how people get such poor battery life with the TB...I am on 4G all day long with the stock battery and heavy use...lasts from 10:20 AM til about midnight-1AM.

No offense but even Verizon doesn't believe you. What does "on 4G" mean and "heavy use?" If you're telling me you web surf for about 6 hours then I'd say you should donate the unit to science. :D

I have the extended battery (bought it on day one with the phone) and have never had GPS issues. I haven't even heard of that rumor...

I use the GPS with my job, so it's a big deal with me if it doesn't work. And I've heard it both ways (problem and no problem) so I've been trying to get some feedback on it.

Thanks for your help folks! I'll see if I can get ahold of HTC and get an answer from them also. If I do, I'll make sure to post it here.

There have been some that have issues with the GPS, that I do know is a problem. However I've not heard that it was caused by the extended battery. As far as I know the GPS issues effect those with or without the extended battery.

Those issues I'm aware of from reading up and they don't cause me any problems on my own Thunderbolt. I'll date myself by saying that, compared to the fun I had with the backpack-sized mapping grade GPS units I started using back in the early 1990's, this is great stuff. I still use specialized mapping units for collecting field data to use with GIS, but my Android phone(s) I use with stock apps help me get there and back better than any TomTom type GPS out there. In a pinch, they work for some mapping and locating also.

So, as long as I can get use the GPS with the extended battery, the extra $ will save me from the headaches of being too far from the office or the truck.

Thanks again!

Got my Thunderbolt on the 7th. I ordered the extended battery on the 6th when I ordered the phone. I just got the battery today because it was back ordered.

To tell you the truth I don't know if I will need it. Unlike my first Thunderbolt that I got on launch and then sent back to keep the iphone, this new one I bought (full retail) on the 6th has been getting decent battery life.

I got it on the 7th and charged it all night. I activated it on the evening of the 8th (Friday). Pretty heavy use for about an hour setting it up, then I ran it until like 11pm and shut it down to charge for the night.

Saturday I woke up and my oldest dog was having a neurological issue, I ended up taking her to an emergency vet and putting her down :( 14 great years together.

The phone came off the charger at 7am Saturday. After googling emergency vets and calling several of them as well as my mom and some texts I lost only 10 to 15% in 3 hours or so.

After the vet and bawling my eyes out there was heavy usage from 1pm until 8pm. This time was spent taking I am sorry calls, looking at pictures of Casey in her better days from facebook and downloading about 30 songs (sad ones of course). At 9pm I had 25% left.

The phone was in use and awake for over 4 hours of data and talk, all 4G.

That was only the second full charge so I can only see it getting better. I think I am going to keep the extended battery for long business trips and such.

R.I.P. Casey May 07/10/1997 - 04/9/2011 I will never forget you.

Broke down and ordered the 2750 mah battery and couldn't be happier after 3 days with it. After a full day of use, I have 20 to 30% left on it at bedtime when I plug it in for the night. Now just waiting on my pre-ordered Sedio rugged case to get put out to keep my TB safe and bought a cheap belt pouch to carry it around in. :D

If you're on the fence, the extra battery life outweighs the extra weight/bulge when you're not near a charger all day!
