I picked up my thunderbolt release morning. Coming from a bb storm2 this phone has surpassed my expectations. Not 1 hiccup no nonsense great call quality and a super fast and stable OS.

I live in a 3g area and at work I get 4bars of 4g LTE. My hotspot at work is faster then my WiFi at home on my cable internet. I play world of warcraft in the coffee shop at lunch and ping under 90 using 4g. I've even done some raiding with the hotspot and its worked flawlessly.

Now I picked up Skype today and it to works fantastic. I honesty couldn't be happier with this phone.

I get a full day with my battery so I haven't had an issue there either. If I had to put one con about the phone its aliitle to hard to read when its in the sun.

Love it!

Yeah, nice to see some positive posts :)

Refreshing change from the "I bought it, I'm not returning it, but I'm not happy" posts I've been reading for the last 3+ weeks

I too am pleased with the T-Bolt. I really have mine loaded down with a ton of apps and it's running really well. Being rooted and being able to change the ROM & Kernel helps with performance not to mention battery life which is the only hit I can give to this phone.

My Sister-in-law called me early last week from a Verizon store, looking at the Thunderbolt and the iPhone. She wanted to get my opinion. I gave her a fair opinion of both phones (I don't like to influence people's decisions...cause they are the ones that have to live with the device). She shocked me when she picked the Thunderbolt...I really thought she would have gone with the fruity status icon :D.

I asked her how she was liking it so far and she said she loved it. Turns out there are a handful of us that are satisfied with it.

Love mine as well! I've had mine 2 1/2 weeks, and I am thrilled with it, and am positive I made the right decision. My only minor irritation is when making phone calls, I hate scrolling thru to find a number. But that's my only irritation, and I can live with that! Happy customer!!

When you pull up the phone and want to call someone named "Brian" (which by the way is a great name ;)) just use the keypad to type in the name just like you would for a dial-by-name directory when calling most businesses. So "Brian" would be "27426"...but it will start to show you matches as soon as your start dialing numbers so doubtful that you have to do more than the first few numbers.

I agree. I'm sure you know, but its important to remember that people mostly post on here to complain or look for fixes and solutions, which is fine. Most don't need to come to a forum and tell everyone how awesome their new phone is. (Guilty :D)
Coming from the Eris forums, there was a ton of activity over there. People complaining about ALOT of issues. Now maybe its just because this phone hasn't been out for long, but it seems relatively quiet over here by comparison. This, IMO, is a good thing! Meaning, most people are enjoying their phones and having little reason to complain or troubleshoot.
Back on topic however....I LOVE this phone! I even like it stock. I root my phones as soon as possible usually, but haven't really felt like I need to yet. Very satisfied!

What is the free streamer app? I hope your daughter feels better!

It's called Movie Streamer. It's kind of like the MegaVideo app but easier to navigate. Video quality is sub par...but it works for now.

Seriously Netflix...If I had a better alternative I'd leave you for taking this damn long!

Edit: Sorry, I hit the edit button instead of the quote button...that's twice in one week I've done that! I'm slipping!

And thanks!...I hope she feels better soon too!
