Root Data connection problem

I am using das bamf 1.7 and I sporadically have problems connecting to data. Right now I can connect to LTE but not 3G. I am using the 1.13.605.7_CDMA_1.12.605.6_LTE_radio-PG05IMG.zip radio. Should I try a different one? Or is there anything else to try? Thanks

I am still having trouble getting on 3G. I have tried every radio combination I can find other than the ginger bread radios. Is there anyone who can help me?

sorry,i have no idea what might be going on with your 3g. are you in an area with strong 4g and 3g?

are you using the lte app or something similar to toggle between 3g and 4g?

is it possible there is no 3g where you are having the issues?

I am currently in Chicago near the O'Hare airport for work. I am using the LTE app that jcase made to toggle 4g and 3g. I have had this before in Nashville and my wife's D1 had fine 3g, which makes me think it is my phone. I am afraid to take it to the store since it is rooted.

hopefully you backed up your stock rom after root. id restore that,and see if the issue persists. if it does not,then id wipe and reflash bamf,after double checking the md5 to make sure your download is good.

if you have the same issue on the stock rom,its possible that you have a hardware prollem. you could take the phone in with the stock ui,and they would likely not notice. however,if they try and push software in order to fix it,best case is youll be unrooted and the prollem fixed. a worse case would be that the ruu they try and push bricks your phone :eek:

if you are fairly certain that youre having hardware failure,i would unroot,take the phone in,and see what happens. if they fix it great,if not youll get a replacement... either way you can reroot after

Thanks for the reply. I may try doing a restore. Will I have to flash back to the original radio for the stock Rom to work?

I experience occasional loss of 3g when swapping from 4G, all I do is toggle airplane mode on and off it comes back. its kinda a pain but it works. But I'm not sure what causes it.

nope... you can use your current radio.

I have had that happen before too. This time i was coming up from off while on a plane and the 3G didn't work again for almost 24 hours.
