Alternative Facebook app for SD card?

Can anyone please recommend a decent alternative Facebook app that can be moved to the SD card? I like the standard app, BUT it will not move to SD and is currently taking up 9 MB of my dwindling on board memory.

Does anyone know also if Tweetdeck will move to SD?

Try friend caster.

I just want to say thanks for this recommendation - since I got my phone I've been looking for a decent Facebook app that does all I want it to do. Even the stock facebook app is now missing status updates. I've just installed this, and it's working well so far. Giong to give it overnight to see if it misses any updates, and then just use that.

I use Friendcaster pro as well. Excellent little app, saving me a ton of SD space, and gives me basically all the FB functionality I regularly need. Can't send messages through it internally currently, but hopefully that's forthcoming.

Edit: forgot to add that Tweetcaster will move to the SD with the little non-rooting SD default install trick. Works perfectly well off there as well.

I'm wondering whether it might be Facebook itself rather than the apps, because I've not come across a single app so far that hasn't missed Facebook updates. And I've tried Tweetdeck, Seesmic, Facebook for Android and Pure Messenger (I had to buy the last one - what a waste of money).

I think I'll still stick with Friendcaster because I like some of the other features it has, and it's good for Notifications.

I will just jump in and add a little something about the Friendcaster app and that due to newer security changes with facebook itself, friendcaster (and other 3rd party apps) don't pick up EVERYTHING that appears on facebook properly.

I've tried both the free and paid for versions as well as using the facebook app/widget with GO Launcher and at times I have missed almost a days worth of posts and updates.

It is a known thing with quite number of threads about as well as on the friendcaster site and possibly on the GO forums as well.

Just thought I'd mention it.

well I would say that you should be safe at least with the best known of the 3rd party apps, such as Friendcaster (free and pro) and GO Facebook widget app...but like I said above there is issues with the apps showing 100% what goes up on facebook...and I'm not talking say app update and friends who play games updates appearing, but actually status updates as well at times...I mean when I last tried friendcaster it failed to show 2 days worth from one friend...same with GO as well at times :(

even though it is not on SD card and also has that annoying double or triple tap issue with commenting or clicking links...I do keep finding myself back with the official facebook app

For what its worth, Tinfoil for facebook hasnt missedany status update etc, and I use syncmypics to sync the contact pictures. (Still is a hit and miss though) I miss the HTC sense contact integration...

Yea your right bout tinfoil...just checked and well its not so much a 3rd party app as basically a link to mobile site anyway...not that that's such a bad thing really...was fast...doesn't have the official Facebook app issue with the double/triple taps lol

Hopefully Facebook sort this security thing put so 3rd party apps don't get shut out as much...as really friendcaster is smoother and faster than official.
