Samsung Galaxy S II I9100 Cases

I've purchased a "muvit" slim case which is a flaplike leather protective case. So far i've been quite content with it. I also have a gelly like skin, but since it already protects the back I don't like it too much.

Here it is. ;) I've got to say that the Tough skin from Casemate was also really appealing, but not yet for sale around here.

I can't find that exact case on the websites linked. I'm either blind or looking in the wrong place. I've purchased a cheap rubber skin from ebay for

The official Samsung SGS2 Vent case is gorgeous, a great option if you only need lightweight protection. I bought mine on ebay.uk.

Case-Mate also offers "barely there" case for SGS2 that's a little more robust but still quite thin and attractive (link also lists "Tough" case for SGS2):

I have both the Vent case and the Case-Mate barely there, and both are great cases, just depends on how much protection your phone will need.

thanks for the suggestions guys! i personally like that 'barely there' case. but i have experiences with my S2 where it tends to heat up a little bit when im on the intergoogles.. which leans me towards one of those Chinese mesh type cases but its not as polished as the case-mate. decisions decisions...

Zagg make an "Invisible Shield" protector for the S2 Samsung Galaxy S II Screen Protector | invisibleSHIELD by ZAGG I don't know if these are any good (not tried one). Has anybody here given one a go?

All Zagg invisible shields are a bit fiddly to put on but they are completely scratch resistant (look up the Youtube videos using keys/drills etc to try and scratch them). They are quite expensive though, and some people may not like the slightly sticky feel that the shield gives to the screen when you swipe your finger over it. (anybody who worries about the tiny bubbles after applying, they do go away after a day or two as promised in the instructions, honest)

I've got this on mine. I guess it does kind of spoil the look of the phone. But I've lost count of how many times I've dropped it and it still works as brand new.

As for the invisible shield. It has a strange look to it when the phones in standby, kind of like orange peel. But as soon as you press unlock and the screen comes on you can barely notice this. Even with this on the colours and the screen are still impressive.

Thought these might be useful. The case is thin and fits very perfectly, but I still much prefer using a phone without any kind of case on it, so I have days when I use it and days when I don't.

What does the InvisibleShield do to the look of the screen? I've got an old HTC Hero on loan to see if I get on with Android before buying an S2. It's got a screen protector on it and that makes the screen look really "distant". Thanks, Paul.
The Invisible Shield has a slight "texture" to it so when you look at it from an angle with the phone off and a reflection of some light you can see this. However when looking directly at it when the screen has an image on I think it is baarely noticable. In fact it is really only smudges from oil/grease from your fingers that are noticeable, and you can wipe these away easily.

(the screen protecter was crap, wasnt after the "package", just the case)

just a different shade of blue, i gotta say, its cheap but lovely.
nice grip on the sides, comfortable to hold.
All the holes line up beautifully and keeps the phone slender still.
i had a look at the guy in the shops casemate-barley there, and as much as it the ultimate in protection, it made the phone bulky and heavy(ier)

i got this for the missus =

so when she has it in her bag the screen isnt coppin a bashing.
once again, holes lined up, fits well, shes happy = me happy from less nagging lolz.

all depens on what you want.
