Is the within going to be released Later July?

It's looking doubtful it'll be released in July. Normally, there would already be supply chain information at least a month before actual release.

In fact, it's looking doubtful the Within or other SGSII will be released in the US. If you check the news the last 2-3 days, there have been many articles stating that either negotiations between the carriers and Samsung are still ongoing or that they've already ended without a contract to bring the phones to the US. Samsung phones are always delivered to the US first before releasing in Canada due to the way Samsung has always prioritized in their NA distributions. It's the same with TVs, Home appliances, etc... I don't think I've ever seen a Samsung Product released in Canada first before the US. That's why it's sort of ominous that Canada has their SGS2 release, but we don't yet.

I remember an article saying the samsung gs II variants were going to be released later July, any leads if this is true?

Also, will the sprint within have wimax build in?

And will it be using exynos or tegra 2?

Since there might be an SGS2, I'd say go for the Nexus Prime (if it comes to Sprint) which just got confirmed by Samsung with Super Amoled HD, Ice Cream Sandwich and probably 4.5" screen

That was also false. Their source was from an article that was already rumored as well. Anyways, any carrier that has a Nexus phone now will have the next one and so on. I'm sure one day in the future it will be on all carriers. It would makes sense to have one on all carriers to represent android as a whole for alternatives against skins

Personally i want Sammy to make it again though. We will see in time.

Samsung Within (Galaxy S2) Confirmed Late July for Sprint

Although this "confirms" that the release will be in Late July, there might be a delay because of the lawsuit Apple has issued against Samsung. Not sure though. (I'm not good with all these kind of legal issue things :p)
I also haven't seen the Within in the news lately, so I'm expecting it to be released after July.

Samsung Within still haven't gone through FCC approval yet, so it won't be July...maybe August, or even September.

The 3 US variants (Within, Attain, and Function) had their patents filed in the US patent office on March 17th of this year. It takes about 5-6 months since filing to get to market, so that puts it at about August/September for release. The latest rumor at XDA is September 4 (comes from a reliable source who knew all the previous release dates (EVO, Epic etc). Just thought I'd throw more speculation into the mix

It's coming out or will be announced next month. It should of came out earlier but whatever the background issues were it had it delayed for the U.S.

If you think about it though, the original Galaxy S devices came out in Aug so...it's not that bad for people who really want it. I'm sure it's worth the wait. People will assume, oh, it's outdated now and etc. I really think that is the most overused term in the Android community. As long as it comes with really nice hardware of it's time and get's supported with updates, it's not outdated.

Anyways, the July 24th can stop and die. You can't just have a phone of such specs and ship it out with no advertisement or anything.
