since the regular galaxy s2 is fully compatible with att, doesnt this mean that they're lucky since they get two galaxy s2 versions to choose from

Thats what I'm thinking... My daughter, the text-a-holic, would likely want that version. I like mine with out the keyboard.

This is the attain so AT&T gets the slide out version. If u want the keyboardless gotta get an import version or go with a different carrier. Seems as if U.S carriers are the main reason why it's late. They each want a different cosmetic look. I'm hearing T-Mobile's version(Hercules) is 4.5 inches rather then 4.3.

Hopefully it doesn't add that much thickness.

That is an absolute monstrosity.

Do people really want a physical keyboard on a top of the range smartphone? I can't think of another.

Wow, I definitely won't be buying it through AT&T (won't be paying $500+ for a phone either). I guess I'll wait and see what happens with the SGS II on Verizon, since I was kind of thinking about switching anyway in the next 2-3 months (about the time the next iPhone is due).

As much as I dislike it I prolly will still get it i really have no choice I'm on contract with att and don't have the cash to buy the import and it's still the same phone really minus the slide out

Folks, this is not officially Attain yet. There are leaks on non-keyboard version as well. Actually there are more leaks on non-keyboard version of Attain from a few month ago to recent android central leak. I'm pretty sure they will get slim touch screen one as well.

The thing that makes the S2 such an attractive android device is because of its looks, weight, and thinness. In my opinion, that slideout keyboard takes away all those things from the original S2 sitting right in front of me. (I fell in love with the S2 after a friend from the gym took is S2 out in the locker room, I bought one the following week)

Agreed. Until there's some legitimate source that confirms a physical keyboard design, I'm going to assume that's not the case.
