Root Any GB based ROM that voicemail will work.

Yeah, once a true GB OTA leak comes out some of the sense roms will probably support visual VM. The new gingeritis may as it is supposably built on a leak of the OTA but who knows, I don't expect that AOSP will support it for a while however once CM7 or OMFGB get it working I would expect to see it an all AOSP builds.

Probably a low priority for AOSP since google voice works right now.

there are 2 things you can do after you get a call

think you got a voicemail? do either of these steps

1) home screen>menu>call> is your "clear voicemail notification" greyed out or bold? if it's greyed out--you don't have a voicemail. if it's bold--you got a voicemail--tap it to prevent the phone from notifying you of it on reboot.

2) reboot the phone. a voicemail notification will appear

so. you got a voicemail--how do you clear it?
do one of these three things:

1) BEFORE you call, go to home screen>menu>call>clear voicemail notification. this will erase the icon. it will only work if you press it BEFORE you call your voicemail
2) Call/Hear the voicemail. then save/delete it (whatever you choose). then reboot the phone. it'll clear the notification
OR, the much quicker way
3) put the phone into 'hibernate' mode for about 5 seconds, then bring it out of Hibernate mode. your notification will erase itself.

hope this helps!

(as of now, this is an issue with ALL GB ROM's. we're all SOL, but it's a small price to pay for the glory of GB :) )
