Android Market, 3.1.3 out

Just released is the all new Market 3.1.3.

Download: Android Market 3.1.3 Adds +1 For Apps And Games, PIN Number For Purchases, And More

Working great on my SGSII. Seems faster. Not a lot of difference that I can see at the moment apart from PIN purchasing.

Download it and place it on your SDcard. Then use File Manager to navigate to it and click on it to install.

Yeah, Just installed it, it looks like the version they use on tablets with android v3.0+ , but obviously designed for a smaller screen.

if anyone installed unofficial ver about month ago this one looks exactly the same but works faster imho.

i'm fairly new here, is this an updated version of the "Market" app on the phone or
a different but similar app to the default "Market" ?

I'm new to Android. How does one install this on the phone? I've read others writing that in the new market it dosen't recognise some old apps. Is this true?

Did you not read the install instructions in my original post?

This version was released yesterday and replaces other versions of the Market. No problems so far... all app's recognised.

The apk released in July wouldn't give me app updates for some reason... hopefully this is fixed!

If you want it now, then you must do it manually or, like the last update of Market, you can wait and see if you get it automatically, depending on the firmware you are on and your location. Some people are still waiting for that one even!

Beside the wack I got downloading it and then building it's cache....

I am finding this version a bit bloated and slow. I think I like the previous one better. The new version may do a better job of featuring/selling apps with top trending, top free...but it seems to be pretty sluggish. My advice is to download it & run for the first time on Wifi only - not 3G!!

thats strange... this market ver works actually faster than one from last month and i totally disagree about running it for first time on wifi. there is no need for that. i used it on 3g and it wasn`t sluggish, worked perfectly fine since install.

he is not lying about that, i just got the nexus S 2 weeks ago with telus here in canada and never knew they changed the look of the app market. it upgraded me to gingerbread but didn't give me the newer version of the app market

Very strange...i have two SGS2 phones. My primary phone has not updated the market app yet but the secondary phone updated the market app automatically to v3.1.3 last night after the first app i downloaded. So i have two identical SGS2 phones bought at the same time with same firmware and gingerbread 2.3.3 but one has more apps on it?!?!?!

Same here,

Love the new look layout but it simply falls asleep sometimes, marginally quicker on wifi but not impressed so far. :mad:

Not rooted running on 2.3.3 unbranded phone.
