Weird problem with pdaNet...

I downloaded pdaNet a while back... I can't remember if I've always had this problem or if it's something new. Anyway, pdaNet starts up fine but it only works for about 10 seconds then it inexplicably ends the connection on my computer end. The computer I'm using is a Toshiba Satellite running Windows 7 (32 bit). Once my connection stops, I have to to my icon tray and click on the pdaNet icon. When I do it says unconnected and I have to click on the icon to reconnect. As soon as I do I get a connection but then I loose connection within 10 to 30 seconds...

I was thinking that it's some sort of a limitation on the trial period but I'm not sure. I'd like to buy the full app but I don't want to buy it if it's going to continue to disconnect after I upgrade. Has anyone else had this problem?

I'm on my tether right now and what I've noticed is that some websites just don't appear to work. I can google just about anything and get on here but some website, like gmail, just don't come up. I think when I try to go on a website that doesn't work, it times out and that's how I loose my connection. I don't know if this is a limitation of the trial software though because I can go on all different kinds of http sites, like this one. Kind of strange.

Anything that uses https, like sometimes Facebook or some mail programs, won't work, unless you buy the full version of PDANet like I have for $30 (well worth it).

You can just use Proxoid, and everything will work.

More of a correct statement would be that secure sites do not work. You can easily use facebook. But as soon as you clear cache and try to actually login (pass and email), it wont let you. Same thing with email.

pdanet full version only costs $9.95 and I have only had one real problem where that registration difficulty arises. You may not find the solution online but if you saved your registration number that came in your email receipt in a notepad or wordpad or something equal, note the last four digits and enter through the pdanet page on your phone that will show when you click the pdanet icon.
