what are some of the draw backs to doing this? I have 17,000 text messages and the phone is absurdly slow. Obviously its impossible to just delete the text as it is way overloaded to delete. Which to me makes no sense considering I can do a factory reset quicker than it takes to delete one thread of text. I've never understood that about this phone.

So what all do i need to back up when doing a factory reset?

So far I have:
Sync with app brain (to then download once reset)
Save widget settings

Anything else?

my backup pro is better to use and you do not have to be rooted. just backup what you need and go ahead and do the factory reset.

well, yeah you have 17,000 text messages!!!!!!!!! lol

haha I know! but even when I get to like 5k it slows down a lot. The problem is I HATE having to sit there and erase my texts, then they just build up, and next thing I know I can't erase any of them!

Arghhhh just venting. For anyone out there that has used MY Backup Pro, is there a way to get the "Data" portion back without bringing the text messages back? I accidentally backed those up when I did this and the only option to bring everything back is "Data", it isn't broken down more than that.
