Root First Bionic ROM: UNL3ASH3D-V1.0

I always used ROM Manager on my OG Droid to handle these tasks in the past.

I am getting ready to flash this ROM to my rooted Bionic. I have purchased the Bionic Bootstrapper and downloaded UNL3ASH3D-V1.2. I then moved it to my SD Card and extracted it there. I also did complete a nandroid backup.

I have noticed that most, if not all of my application data is on the internal card.

If I wipe everything and format system will the internal card be untouched or will I lose everything.

Thank you in advance for any help.

By wipe, you'd need to:

  • Wipe /data / factory-reset
  • Wipe /system
  • Wipe /cache
  • Wipe /dalvik

You will need to restore everything when installing a new ROM. Just run Titanium.

However, if you're upgrading the same ROM to a newer version, you skip the /data / factory-reset portion, and don't have to restore anything.

Anything on the external is untouched as well.

Did you extract the rom? Just leave it as a zip. it won't install if it is not.

tehsusenoh,

Titanium has put its backups on the Internal. Is the Internal where it should be?

Copy it to the external and delete the internal. then go to titanium, menu, preferences, then scroll down to back up folder location, select, then hit detect, it will find the backup on your sd-ext and save all your back up there.

I just bought my Bionic yesterday... Rooted it within 20 minutes and flashed the rom this morning... Everything was working yesterday after the root but now since I installed Unl3ash3d v1.2 I'm not able to import my contacts of Backup Assistant.... When I go to Device Setup, click on Backup Assistant I get an error that says, "Sorry! The application Device Setup (process com.motorola.setupwizard.devicesetup) has stopped unexpectedly. Please Try Again"

I've also tried importing them by the Verizon website, clicking on the contact I want to import to my phone and hitting the Sync button but it still won't work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Noodles, first off, welcome to the forums. I am pretty sure I know what happened, when you flashed UNL3ASH3D it probably deleted BackUp Assistant, that was probably one of the bloatware programs it removed, if you have your heart set on using it, I would download titanium back up and try to restore it, if it isn't there I think you would have to find a copy of the apk, which is Backup Assistant 2.3.4, you would also need Backup Assistant Client 1.0 as well.

I don't mean to sound condescending but why are using back up assitant? Is this your first smartphone? If it isn't then your contacts are backed up in your google account and should sync automatically if you have it set up to do so.

p8ntbalah, thanks for the warm welcome to the forum and help! I opened titaniumn back up and found the file Backup Assistant 2.3.4 and it had indeed been uninstalled... I tried to restore it but I've been getting the message Restoring App for the past hour with no luck.

I had over 400 contacts and thought there were with google but after I flashed the rom this morning, I only have 83 contacts now, all with google... I can find the rest on the verizon web site but still can't get them to sync to the phone... Uhhgg... Sorry for being such a noob...

I am running unleashed and found that trying to reinstall any stock apps like back up assistant or social networking does not work. You can go to your verizon account from your computer and export your contacts as a cvs file and save it to your computer. Then sign in to your gmail account and import the contacts there. Give it a few minutes and all your contacts will sync with your phone.

I metamorphed some different battery themes to change the layout only I seem to have an issue in that the xml did not change the script to show the correct icon vs the actual battery percentage? For example, it has the battery image I want at 100%, 80%, 60%, but the other images take over during the 90%, 70%, etc, as if the script will not change.

Could that be true? Anyone else try to change the battery look on this ROM? Since I've done a couple different metamorph themes, it doesn't appear to be the theme, but I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed (I almost typed troll - sweet fancy moses).

That would be your best option.
