Root disable fastboot whilst unrooting?

but thats when you've got a rom loaded. i mean, if Im gonna unroot the phone I have to have a rom loaded... i didnt think so, thanks.

every phone has to have a rom loaded on your phone or it will not work. so it will depend on what software you have on your phone now when you unroot. if your phone has froyo then no you do not need to uncheck fastboot. but if you have gingerbread then you need to uncheck fastboot to get to recovery.

I have another question related to this fastboot option. Should I normally leave it checked or unchecked? I mean what does it do to the phone? Does it make it boot faster or what?
Also whats the difference between NORMAL RESTART and HOT RESTART?
THX

I always leave it unchecked really doesn't speed up the phones boot process just fast boot goes straight to boot no boot menu. (a normal restart or power off don't give you the menu either you have to choose the power and volume down button in order to get the menu. If you have fastboot on this combination is ignored and the phone boots and turns control over to the rom)

Normal restart is just that shutdown everything and reboot

Hot Restart only shutsdown the ROM (Normally you just see the Roms Bootanimation screen and not the HTC splash screen)
