Help 2.3.5 Can't get GPRS settings from provider

I upgraded to 2.3.5, and tried contacting vodafone(India) for settings, but through the normal procedure couldn't get it from them. Tried a few settings manually by editting the APN. After that, i could get the 'E' showing up at the top but still, I could only get the internet to work on my browsers and nowhere else, like market, or facebook app, or gmail app.
I am in New Delhi India and my provider is Vodafone. I only use 2g. I would appreciate any help here.

Only thing you can do is apply your settings manually.;)
This is the only way.

Reason, This updates are made from U.S,Europe. The bandwdth and apn setting will differ along with the places, So you will not get gprs settings sent by your provider to you directly.:mad:

Anyway Browse google or call the C.c provider for manual settings.

May be if We are lucky enough af GT540 Mur4ik will release a complete gingerbread Stable update soon:(.

try this while edting new access point:
Name: Vodafone
APN: www
Proxy: --dont set-- (blank)
Port: --dont set-- (blank)
Username: --dont set-- (blank)
Password: --dont set-- (blank)
Server: --dont set-- (blank)
MMSC: --dont set-- (blank)
MMS Proxy: --dont set-- (blank)
MMS Port: --dont set-- (blank)
MCC: 404
MNC: 05 (If this value is already generated by the system, please keep that)
Authentication Type: --dont set-- (blank)
APN type: default
APN protocol: IPv4
