Running into an odd issue....And I seriously doubt it's related to this ROM, but since I'm using this ROM, I figured I'd post this here. Recently I was running out of internal space, and I figured I had really just finally used it all up with symbolic links from a2sd lol (i.e., toooooo many apps). But I wasn't certain, so I figured I'd run a full backup of everything, wipe it clean and start fresh. All went well, except after the first couple reboots, the next reboot it wouldn't boot anymore. It'd just stay on the black LG screen. However, I could manually boot into recovery still, wipe the phone, reinstall the rom, and I was good. This general episode has happened twice now.
Thing is, it doesn't happen until after I've put most of my apps back on, but I haven't found a consistency yet other than that. As long as the ROM is still pretty clean, the phone reboots fine. But as soon as I have a bunch of apps on there it seems (try 60 to 70, and this is with A2SD fully setup, everything running from SD-EXT), the next reboot, it won't anymore, and I'm forced to boot into recovery, wipe all, and reinstall the ROM.
While my apps are all backed up in TiBu to make my life a little easier, what I'm still not looking forward to is installing apps one by one, and/or even uninstalling unwanted apps one by one, to see what's breaking it.
Is it possible that running an SD-EXT (ext3) partition on an older class 2 8 GB sd card would cause this? I got the card for free in a used state from my friend, because I wanted more space and he upgraded his card. Been using it for awhile no problems, but now it's doing this. If the thing's worn out, would it create problems on boot like this?
Is it instead more likely that I've got a bad app, or maybe a bad backup of an app?
I welcome all input, and in the meantime I think I'm going to deal with not customizing things for now, and just make one change at a time, rebooting in between each change to see if it's still good. Unless someone has an awesome answer for me, this is going to be a grueling process. At least I still have an otherwise fully functioning non bricked phone.
