My Epic4G has screen burn - it's really obvious when scrolling through my G+ stream... so today I took it into Sprint. They are going to replace the phone. I'll go in next Saturday to get the replacement.

So what are the wisest things I can do in preparation for a smooth transition from old Epic 4G to new one?

It's not rooted and I do have My Backup Pro scheduled to back up everything every day to the card.

on your phone go to contacts, hit menu, then hit import export.

hit export to sd card

then delete all your contacts from your phone

then go back to import export

this time itll say

import to phone or your gmail account

hit your gmail account

that should take care of it.

make sure you have the contacts backed up with mybackup pro just incase

oh when you do this it might have all your email contacts on it as well.

if you want to hide those just go to menu, then more, display options and hit

only show contacts with phone numbers.

then check your gmail on a computer and check your contacts to see if theyre all there.

your welcome :]

If you have a LOT of apps (like i do) either write them down, or (and this is sad) but i actually took a picture of each of my screen shots then redid it that way when I had to replace my phone. Hey, I liked the way it was set up, and I didnt want to miss any of my apps. Made sense to me, lol.

And yes, definetly sync all of your contacts so once you switch out they'll all be there. (i didnt do that with my first replacement - not the phones fault, mine - and it sucked having to add like 65 contacts BACK in... ugh.)
