OK, the reason he asked that is because there was story on the net. For those that don't follow Android drama/twitter, supposedly there are 2 reasons it would not be on VZW.
Reason 1 : Verizon wanted to be more involved in the launch (and expected to be). Verizon was angry when Google/Samsung did not want them involved.
Reason 2 : Verizon/Google/Samsung sent out test units. The test units had issues (I think it was with 4G and possibly battery life on 4G, I don't recall).
However, this article explains things better, and why it's still looking very likely that Galaxy Prime will be on Verizon (and probably first of all of the carriers).

**EDIT** Sorry, I didn't read the first post correctly. While the above is true, let me expand. This is a rumor (and also my hypothesis). Verizon is not announcing the Galaxy Nexus yet because it wants as many pre-orders as possible for the Moto Phone (RAZR). This makes a ton of sense in that the average user (that hasn't already bought a Bionic), will jump on the Razr. I think they will only announce the Nexus a day or two before physical launch (or even on the same day as physical launch) to maximize sales of the Razr. Business wise, this makes sense. Remember, the majority of people buying phones don't keep up with new cell phones and just walk into a store or look online and say "Hey, that Razr is thin and looks to be the best". They will sell a ton. Buyer beware. I don't consider this a bad business practice, because that is the reality of business. That said, reason 1 or 2 could cause the phone to never be released on VZW, however I think that is unlikely...
Again, that is all speculation, so take it with a grain of salt.
