Root [CDMA] Some annoying issues with infected rom

Ok so I switched from myn's warm two point three for my 3d to infected rom and actually pretty much loved it. it's snappy and battery life is amazing. Although I wasn't using the phone much at the time it was the first rom I had ever left the phone unplugged for three days before it even got to 15% battery left. Maybe that's not new but I thought it was amazing.

Anyway to my issue, I switched back over to myn's through restore to figure out what apps I was missing and to just give it a second chance. Upon restoring to infected now I repeatedly get the message "the process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly" and I have to force close. What is causing this and how do I solve it. But I guess more importantly so I can learn from it, what does it actually mean and what is it affecting.

As always anone and everyone on here has my utmost respect and thanks for any help that can e provided. Even if you can't you still have my respect.

I have been running Infected ROM since about a week after it came out. I LOVE the beats audio.
Now, to your problem. I think i experienced it once when I first flashed it. I don't know what it means, but i think I can derive from the name that something in the core Android process is failing, and that Is an issue. I would suggest making a backup, going into recovery, clearing your cache and dalvik cache, and then rebooting your phone. That might help. If you have already done this and are still experiencing this problem, then definitely make a backup, but then clear your data in recovery, and recover from the backup.

What?! Really?! I don't consider myself a heavy user at all, but I haven't found a ROM yet that offers above about 10-12 hours.

Please, please, please tell me your secret, as I am obviously too stupid to figure out good settings for ideal battery life. :)

Thanks!

To be honest, I haven't noticed much difference in battery life between ROMs and everyone's 'evidence' is almost always anecdotal... The things I do that I KNOW increase battery life are: 1. Turn off automatic screen brightness and set it to 30-40% (the lower the better, obviously). 2. Turn off WiFi and Mobile Data (3G) when you aren't using them.

Beyond those two things everything else is going to be rather minor (besides maybe turning off push mail and making apps wait longer to refresh, like weather).

I can't really see how a kernel is going to change much besides allowing you to undervolt.

When it comes down to it though, most of the power is taken up by the screen and radios unless you're using CPU intensive apps (even then, screen is the biggest battery hog by a looong shot).

I see people say that shutting off auto brightness halps battery life but I see the opposite on my phone. You guys do know that the phone isn't running a motor to turn the brightess up and down right?

As long as the auto setting keeps the brightness lower most of the time than where you would nominally have it set it actually increases battery life. It's not the same thing as speeding and slowing up an engine. It's all electronic and as long as it is dimming it's saving battery...

As always though ymmv...

It helps because it does take some juice to run the light sensor (albeit probably an almost negligible amount). More importantly, as you mentioned, it depends on what the average is when you're using auto brightness. It may not change anything, but that backlight is 80% of the battery drain while the phone is on so it's worth considering.

To grepper -- I have no idea what settings I have, just the ones that are there when you flash it.

I have a new question now. I switched off Infected for a while because of the annoying force close isssue but now finally went back to it and just put on the newest release. What I'm wondering is where is the beats audio. I can't ever remember having it. Did it only come with the initial release?
