Most of it had the appearance of member to member misunderstanding of motives in a remark or two. It happens.

Sometimes it's better to have a re-read of your own post prior to hitting the "submit reply" button, just to see if your intended meaning is clear.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I am indeed using Dolphin browser HD. When I click on an mp3 link, a small bar of the music player shows up as a small bar in the middle of the screen. Once I click "home", the player stops. With stock, also Dolphin browser, also same web page, same mp3 link, the music player would load (not just as a small bar) and it would run in the background even if I switch.

What I do now is to save the mp3 file first and then open it from within the music player... that works, just a few more steps.

Welp I got'er up n runing. So far so good. Easier than I thought It would be. Now I'm just wasting time looking through all the menus n settings n stuff. @ Britton and Agentc13: Thanks for the answers and helping me get this going. After factory reset and clear cash and flashing CM7 my Picts were still on the phone?

Minor thing I have noticed: the long press of menu key does not work from the home screen. Thanks to all the devs for their hard work and time. We all appreciate it very much!

Does this latest bulls have wifi working? I think on .04 it was working, then I recently flashed rhw newest one and I get wifi error. Sorry if this question was already answered.

Your pictures are stored on your SD card, hence the reason they don't get deleted. Long-pressing the menu key works fine for me on the home screen.

I haven't had any wifi issues since it was fixed.

Awesome! Glad it's working good for you! I love the Android community.
Yes, your pics along with everything on your SD card is still accessible after changing ROMS. Factory resets normally do not affect the SD Card, which is why it's fairly safe to store backups there, but you're very smart to move the backup file to your computer as you did... in case the card ever gets corrupted or your phone stolen (hopefully not) you will lose all your Nandroid backups.

What are you trying to access by long-pressing the menu from the home screen?

Did you wipe Dalvik cache and clear data (factory reset) before updating? Usually don't have to, but that has cleared up any bugs that have come up on my end.

I found the culprit interfering with GV....Skype! As soon as I uninstalled GV became the default dialer again....I reinstalled Skype and GV again was no longer an option...weird! I don't use Skype on the phone so I can live without it.

That is very strange, I have skype on mine and I don't have that problem.

I tried to set "contacts" and then tried "google voice" for long menu press but a long press gets nothing out of it, after holding the menu button for a while and nothing happening I release it and then the regular menu options open. the long press "home" and long press "search" both work, I set long search to open "voice search", I think it was set to txt by default.

Who needs Juicedefender? From 10pm to 5am I only lost 5% of battery. 7 hours... a burn rate of less than 1%?! And before you say "You probably don't have apps that sync" I say "False. I got 10 emails between those times." I have (for me at least) proven that Juicedefender is not needed to get superior battery life. You just need CM7.

i second this! battery life is AMAZING!!!

and i use my phone heavily for gaming. (nfs shift, nova 2, etc)

I haven't tried that, but would it make a different after I already flashed?

Edit: I did not wipe before upgrading that may be my problem?

Prey, Don't know if you have tried this but it seems there are two "layers" for default dialers. 1st is skype or the dialer. 1. Check the default if you don't ever use skype and 2. select dialer and if settings in GV are set to use GV for all calls things should work for you. That is my hypothesis b/c I us GV and have it ask if I want to call w/ GV or w/o it. With my setup when calling 1st gives me the option of Dialer or Skype, when I chose dialer it then asks if I want to call w/ or w/o GV. So my guess is you never got past the 1st layer. If you select dialer instead of skype and have GV setup as your default I think the call would go strait through. I just tried and it worked for me. Hope this helps.

for the long press meun thins... no I never did clear dalvic cashe. I've heard it around the thread but it was not part of the instructions on pg.1 or in the vids so I did not do it. If other ppls r working that may be it. The long press menu works if something else is open but not when i'm on the home page???? PS. now that I"m messing with my MT and making it the best thing ever ... does TG's CM7 come with stock or upgraded PRL? if not is it worth playing around with. I work in some remote areas where I only get 1-0 bars and bounce btw 3g n 1x doing the signal searching dance all day long.

It will be set to whatever your phone was before you installed cm7.

I would select dialer and I would watch the call go through and the GV Popup would never show up and the caller ID displayed on my work phone would be my phone's actual #. I will reinstall and verify the defaults and test. Thanks for the tip.

Well I'll be damned, it works now! I didn't verify any default settings, all I did was reinstall Skype, made a phone call, popup asking to use Dialer or Skype appears, selected Dialer and now the GV popup appears and the call goes through correctly. Thanks!

Alright im looking at two of the last builds and i'm seeing "7.1.0-A0.8" & the other "7.1.0-TG-Beta-0.7" Which one is the latest? I flashed both of them and i really couldn't find a big difference, on different that i caught right away was the "Screenshot" power button function didn't work, maybe that was something that i did, maybe not idkk. I figure that "7.1.0-A0.8" be the lastest, can someone confirm?

Beta 0.7 is the latest. They are listed newest to oldest in the second post.

The latest version is 7.1.0-TG-Beta-0.7. Generally speaking, software development goes from Alpha (A - unstable, expects lots of bugs) to Beta (B) and finally releasing official version.
