So i got a new phone yesterday.... and it is a Samsung Android Dart.. i needed a new phone and it was only $127 dollars.. im broke most of the time and cant afford a $500 phone.. but after only two days i got a message saying i have exceeded my 200mb data limit.. and that i will be charged 10 cents of every 1 mb of data i recieve.. i have 2 apps downladed a chess one and this virus protection one.. but thats it.. everything else.. my pictures music and all that is in my 2GB memory card.. and my RAM says i am only using 140 out of like 266.. so im confused.. how do i fix it so that im not being charged for everything that i do??? just help me people :(

First off I would switch your prepaid plan. If your broke I'd do the $30 4G Monthly plan. That will give you 100 minutes with unlimited talk and 5GB of 4G web. If you exceed that amount (which most people RARELY do), your web and data speeds are throttled down to 2G (EDGE) speeds until your next month starts. That way your not paying more if you exceed your 4G web speed limit.

How much RAM your using has nothing to do with you being charged for data use. Anytime you use the web from your phone or download from the market your using your data and web. That's what your being charged for. The other alternative is using your home's WIFI or a WIFI hotspot when your close to one. When you do so your not using up your data limit. When your surf the web and download over the T-Mobile network you get charged for it, but using WIFI is free :)

Some helpful hints:

* Install a widget to enable/disable mobile data.
* Use wifi whenever possible
* Install 3G watchdog to keep track of your usage and set alerts to let you know when youre getting close to the limits.

I second these, also check out the walmart family mobile plan which is powered by t-mobile. Right now they are doing unlimited data for ~3mos.
