Can someone translate for me???

What happens is websites like Engadget and Verge get pre-released devices weeks before the release to review. In order to get the devices they must sign a non-discloser agreements, these agreements have an expiration time and date. Once the agreement has expired, you will start to see reviews of these devices on different major website like Engadget. Reviews are posted about a week before being released to the pubic.

Hope that helps...

I've got a question relating to contracts and plans, and I figure I can probably get better answers here than anywhere else.

Right now I'm on a VZW month-to-month plan. My account manager page says I have unlimited data. Does that apply to both 3G AND 4G? Do I need to worry about this "double data" plan that's currently available?

unlimited data applies to both 3G and 4G and will stay with you as long as you have a smartphone activated on your plan. double data is only useful to those that aren't grandfathered into unlimited.

EDIT: NINJA'D

Or, as my husband calls it...o'dark thirty. Either way, it's the butt-crack of dawn (no pun intended) and nobody should have to get up that early. It really puts a damper on my social life....which I don't have since this phone was announced.

Holy crap, I call it the butt crack of dawn too.

jealous, living in Houston anytime someone drives from PA they MUST fill in every part of their car/truck with yuengling.

If I ever head that way I will let you know. :D

6" of Dark chocolate. BB approved. :D

Sorry, had to.

Ha! It has been known to be the difference between forgiveness and a fight continuing.

First off, I don't know the reasons why you are quitting (none of my business), but fully support your decision.

I'm laying off just for unnecessary calories.

Not that it matters, but Pliney the Yonger gets a perfect score on Beer Advocate. The highest rated beer ever. It really is that good. Fat Tire by comparison only manages a solid B.

I'm (was) kind of a beer snob. To each their own taste I say. Fat Tire is by no means my favorite (I'm not even 100% with myself on this, but 90 Schilling is that friggin good to me) but I've been hard pressed to find a micro out of CO/WA/OR that I didn't like. Blue Moon would be an example of one of those that I see in the cooler and go "eh" but its not terrible.

edit: I've never heard of either of your choices, so I'll have to get informed. Sadly, that probably wont include me sampling. But I've got trusted friends ;) Sucks being a fervent connoisseur and not tasting though hahaha.

I'm thinking about switching from Sprint and getting on my parents family plan to make the overall plan for me cheaper (damn Verizon prices). My dad keeps telling me they have unlimited data, and you can share it. I tell him that the phones don't share data "plans" and that I would have to pay the tiered price. I'm pretty sure I'm right, but can anyone confirm this? I'm getting the phone either way and would like to avoid bumming my parents family plan, but if that ends up like $30 cheaper a month then it's a no-brainer.

If you've ever been to North Carolina try Red Oak. That's my favorite.

I have no idea, but I think returning the phone might also return the contract that you got with it.

Maybe someone who's exchanged a phone can help?

If you buy a phone on November 26 and exchange it for a different phone on December 4, does your contract expire on November 26 or December 4?

Also, did you say the rep told you that you have 14 days from activation to return it? We know that's incorrect, so you might want to find someone else to work with.

The 14 day return period doesn't reset, i don't know why the rest of the contract would

Whew! Just caught up. Work is really getting in the way of my thread time. Pulled some random quotes as I was catching up, so excuse the old topics.

OK, coming out of lurking mode again...

So I read your guys' convo a bunch of pages back. I'm curious as to why everyone who expressed an opinion said that a star wars virgin definitely has to start with episode 4. I'm not convinced that he/she should start with episode 1 or 4; I think it can go either way - sequence of release or chronological order.

My answer to this differs depending on the virgin viewer. If it's a younger kid then I suggest starting at episode 1 as they will probably enjoy young Anakin and Jar Jar. For older viewers I recommend the theatrical release order because that's the way they were originally experienced. I also advise watching the Holiday Special either between IV and V or after watching all 6 episodes. Yes it's poor quality, but it adds a little back story to Wookies and is the 1st appearance of Boba Fett.

Considering the track record, I'd probably put money on it ;)

I think at this point it's easier to just list the movies BB has seen.

In that case - what's everyone drinking tonight? I'm going with a Sam Adams Black & Brew, appropriate for the first (finally) cold night of the year.

I'm drinking some Final Absolution from Dragonmead microbrewery. It's not cheap but it's the best beer I've had. Metro Detroiders should check it and the pub out.

Does anyone else think the thread title looks naked?

Aye, it does but Steven58: Human Cyborg Relations should just leave it be until something is official unless you want some whining about why the title changes for rumors.

Well, friends, I thought I was off this roller coaster for good but it keeps pulling me back in. With my Nexus now in FedEx's hands on it's way to Expansys I'm back to obsessing over this thread. *sigh*

wyggles, did you purchase an unlocked version and are now returning it because of the 12/08/11 rumors?

I'm also a bourbon geek. Here's pics of my obsesson...

These were taken about a year ago IIrC...I've got more put away now.

HOARDER!! :D

guy I follow on G+ that works for Verizon just went to Managers meeting with his RD(regional director?)...who knows exactly what that means for the GNex if anything?

Hoping that the guy you follow gives us nice update after his meeting.

Ack. 10pm pst is 1am est.

I'm not staying up late again. I'm not staying up late again. I'm not staying up late again. :(

I call BS, you know you are staying up late again, is there going to be another chat session?

No, they got that right. That's why I was unsure whether they were correct/incorrect regarding the rest...I surely don't know enough about the finer points of their contracts to know!
