Ok so now I am getting really tired...
two options

1) plow through and finish the paper tonight.
2) go take a nap for a few hours and finish in the morning.

I'm maybe 60%? maybe 75% and the paper is due at 11:30 and I have a 45 minute drive.

I also have a rough cut of a project due at 3pm, which I still need to do recordings for but it's rough so I could sort of just throw it together in a way...

The nap thing never really works for me personally, I always prefer to stay up (caffeine) and finish it.

Well considering how widespread we all are (I still have yet to find more than one person who's going to the same store I am), I don't think there will be many people camping, if any at all... it's a great phone, sure, but it doesn't have the same "new shiny product must have" appeal as an iPhone has. Which reminds me, I feel obligated to make a long post about this journey before Steven closes the thread. It's seriously changed my life (sounds weird, I know, but it really has been fun cracking jokes, sharing rumors and always getting ninja'd, and of course sharing insider info from each of our experiences!)

I saw the phone.... It DOES have that appeal. A non tech friend of mine was there and agreed.

I await not only yours but everyone's final posts coming in the next day or two.

Honestly I don't think there will be any problem walking in on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday and picking up a Nexus. I just don't see it.

The majority of people don't even know about the phone and most people will only get it if they have an upgrade available. This only cuts down the demand. The only people that will be there as soon as it launches are the techies that know a lot about it and why it is so great.

I just heard that there is a new phone that will be released on Friday called the Galaxy Nexus. Verizon is being very hush hush over the phone. I think I am the only person who has heard about it. Anyone on here know about this phone? Do you plan on getting one?

I go to my second day of Market Research pizza-eating, and they ask me to stay later and do the 90 minute focus group... that's when I knew that big news or a pre-order or something would hit tonight... and make it nigh impossible to catch up. I skimmed a lot.

ALSO, I got a verizon flier in the mail today. I posted pictures of it in the discounts thread. I think it's that "3G to 4G" discount that people were talking about. This makes me REALLY glad that I didn't do the Rent-a-R*z-phone thing. $100! and I have the $30 "loyalty" and the $50 living social that saved me $25 ... The cash from my Pizza taste testing might cover the phone and some of the accessories!

traffic actually lightens up a bit, mid-day... and fridays aren't usually as bad, for me.

I'm so happy that I'm going to post a Christmas Song. I was in a band once, that was asked to do a holiday song for a compilation, and we did it... listening back, it sounds like we might've done it in one take and not cared too much... but it makes me happy and seems appropriate.

Ha I agree. And did the same. It should be here tomorrow. I always make fun of my friends with iphones and cases. Since a lot of them got the phone because of how it looks, yet then they go and cover it up with a case lol.

But I do get a crack out of the iphone cases that have a cut-out on the back just to show the Apple logo, like seriously? haha

I was actually pretty close to getting the bionic, but then at the end of a review a little tidbit of something called the nexus prime was on the horizon. I found this place several weeks before the official announcement, and the rest is history (specifically my post history).

Yours and Scott's post really rings true though, there is something undeniably special about this phone for us geeks. And i agree with you, this thing has iPhone like appeal. Even though (or maybe because) the specs themselves are not completely top of the line it doesn't matter. There is something more, it is the software and hardware melding to create the total package. Anyway, those are my near 2:00 am thoughts on the matter. After a nights sleep maybe I'll have something more coherent to say about it, lol! So, with that, I bid y'all good night. We are so close!!
