I'm an OSU alum. I miss Columbus quite a bit!

O-H!
I-O!

Love Columbus too, the growth of the city over the last 10 years has been incredible. The independent art and foodie scenes are exploding.

I-O!

Excited about Urban Meyer? We're gonna rock the next couple years. With Meyer helping Braxton get his throwing game down and a good spread offense, national championship here we come!

Very excited about Urban, but it's basketball season now. Ready to see us kick some Jayhawk butt tomorrow.
Prepare to get curb stomped by the Gators....again....

and no I'm not bitter about Urban. He was a great coach for us, not surprised he went back to OSU. IMO he is spent though, but he will give it a go. All the coaches that helped him become successful are somewhere else so we will see what happens.
Going to be the most watched bowl game between two 6-6 teams ever.

The impact he's already made in recruiting will make sure OSU dominates the big ten for years, need conference success to turn into national success though. Think he can do it.

Well congrats on the purchase but that's ridiculous.
I'm not a lawyer, but I would think that if you bought the device, they can't take it from you. The transaction went through, right?

It's the right thing to do, besides, there's probably something in their TOS that lets them take your first born if you don't do as told.

My conspiracy theory (THIS IS JUST WILD SPECULATION ON A POSSIBLE CAUSE FOR DELAY): The Google Wallet fiasco. Verizon has a competing technology so they do not want this native-function available to their users. Google called them out on blocking this feature and they want to save face.

It has been widely shared that Verizon is not legally permitted to block the application, so their response is that they are not releasing the device until Samsung replaces all the batteries with non-NFC compliant ones. This change would make it so the Galaxy Nexus will no longer support NFC on the hardware side and this will remove the need for Verizon to assume liability and reputational risk for illegally blocking an application.

If I'm right, we are waiting for shipments of replacement batteries before the device will be launched.

If that's the case I will buy a battery that gives me my NFC function back.

Went to Abbey's store. Spoke to Abbey and her manager. Her manager said next Thursday FOR SURE the phone will be released. Both blamed the 4G outage for the delay. They showed me the phone on their computer. It said $999,999,999. Her manager laughed and said well I guess I can sell it to you today if you want to pay that for it. I asked how much that would be on a 2 year subsidy. Lol. I asked them to take my name and number but they said there is no need to bc they are coming out next Thursday.

On to Costco. At Costco the guy said they don't have any in stock but he has been told the 12th. I left quickly.

Not surprised by any of this. I was just hoping to hit the jackpot. I am heading to Radio Shack and then HH Gregg's kiosk.

Well, brb, eating my phone.

You should have some company :)

If stores aren't preparing right now... no way in hell do I see that happening. There is a lot that goes into this.

But man.. I'll eat a phone if you are right. :p And I won't back down! It'll be one of those gummy ones you can get at the candy store.

Folks...why would returning this phone save anyone's job. The phone has been sold already. That is what will get someone fired. Returning the phone is a moot point. If one were to get fired it would be for selling it in the first place.

Yes I would be very clear with the manager if I were in Sam's shoes that I will come back and this salesman had better still be here, or I will contact the media, if the manager is holding the guys job as the reason for returning...

See, now this I believe. There is something wrong with the Nexus as it has to do with Verizon network. ....

Not defending VZW this is a major epic fail. But it is a real reason ... not a conspiracy.

yeah .. this is what i'm wondering. possibly something BAD going on to be so hesitant about releasing, or announcing the phone.

imo, the razr and rezound had their few weeks. vzw is bringing other devices into the store.

what's wrong with the nexus?
why can't it come out and play?

btw .. spread this around. #vzwnexusfail

Obligatory was a lurker, have decided to say hi post.
What's up? This thread has consumed many many hours of my life since its creation, it's only right that I would post. I've been talking about this phone so much, that even my fiancee has admitted to checking here for updates.
It has been a roller coaster, hopefully we will all have our phones soon.
