Help Home screen button has been taken over

Anyone has this issue or a fix? Randomly the home screen changes to some kind of screen with volume toggle button and a "x" up in the top right corner. It also has a the time in the middle and a scrollable dock at the bottom. Problem is I dont want this screen up ever. I restart the phone then its gone but after a while (sometime that day) the useless screen pops up and whenever you press the home screen it goes to that screen instead of my own preferred home screen with all my apps...Any kind of fix for this? Im running Go Launcher EX. Not sure if that has any affects on it.

My guess it's the app. I have never had this problem.

Try removing the app for testing purposes and see what happens.

I have the exact same thing going on. I dont have go launcher on there, but I use widget locker. However, I tried complete restore and it still happens!!!! It makes me crazy.

What is this crap.....

I have the exact same thing happening too! Seems to happen after using my E4GT in a car on a car charger. This new home screen persists even after disconnecting from my car charger. Only way to turn it off i've found is to power the phone off and back on.

By the way I using Go Launcher Ex.

From the description, what you're seeing is the desk dock app. That's the screen and actions I see when I plug mine into my desk dock.

That's what I was thinking. Now does anyone know where you can control/disable the setting that brings the desktop app up?

By the way I was using a Motorola car charger but that should not make a difference.

The way certain pins are shorted out in the car and the desk dock determine what home screen displays when you plug your phone in. Based on that, I'd say a different charger should cure your problem.

I thought a micro USB male plug is a micro USB male plug. Are you saying that a different charger will make a difference? I don't think so.

I have a charger that causes the epic to do crazy things, like call people at 4am.

My epic is doing ther same thing when the home key is pressed an app is run and to get to home I have to back it out. Drives you crazy.

I think this happened because my off brand charger would cause the phone to do crazy things and it reset a couple of things, this and my speaker on a phone call starts on no matter what I do.
