I feel like my OG droid will give me one last f-u whenever this phone is released. I will have set my alarm to wake up early to get to my verizon store but the droid will freeze up on me keeping my alarm from going off. By the time I wake up and get to the store they will have sold out and I have to wait 1-2 weeks for resupply. Welcome to the life of me.

I know im sorry.. but if you were on last night it all makes sense.

There was a leaked email from a business rep who said its coming out tomorrow 'but' to wait a week for a OTA update to get issues ironed out. Makes perfect sense as to VZW not marketing it yet. They need to get the phone out tomorrow and they will advertise it after the OTA. Makes sense.

No need to apologize....although I do appreciate it.

So, does anyone think this phone comes out without a press release? I just talked with a CSR, and after getting the typical run around, said "not your fault, they keep you in the dark as much as their customers" to which she replied, after saying there is no information, to "check back in a couple days to a week." Which to me says this phone is coming sooner than that, she just couldn't give the day away to me. At this point, I don't think they'll promote the phone at all, or at least not until next year.

As one of my many childhood crush Little Orphan Annie used to say,

The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar
That tomorrow
There'll be sun!

Just thinkin' about
Tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs,
And the sorrow
'Til there's none!

When I'm stuck with a day
That's gray,
And lonely,
I just stick out my chin
And Grin,
And Say,
Oh

The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
'til tomorrow
Come what may

Tomorrow!
Tomorrow!
I love ya
Tomorrow!
The Galaxy Nexus is only a day away!

I thought that was just a rep that appeared to be fishing for a commission since he'll be out of town for the first week or whatever...

Well if you really thimk about it, it makes sense. All the stores hae shipments and the authorized retailers are getting mad to have unsellable merch. VZW might also have a clause in the contract for 12/15 cutoff. If they feel the phone isnt ready as far as software and they 'have' to sell it, why not wait a week until a bugfixer gets release. Then there are less callbacks on buggy phones and it will quiet the facebook/twitter posters who know to get it earlier.

Okay, and that makes sense as to why the VZW CSR from their chat on site feature just told me a few days to a week. So it'll be out for diehards to pick up, but they won't push it to the masses until the OTA is good to go? That does seem a bit too logical for Verizon though...
