I can't believe it's really true... wow. First off, let me say this: It's been an incredible journey and I'm lucky to have spent it with you guys. Especially all those negative nancy's and naysayers out there! Haha!

I have spent the last two weeks, literally, infront of this damn computer checking every source and Ctrl+R-ing the heck out of this forum, and VZW picks the only 2 hours that I've been out of the house in days to make the official announcement. Ugh, just my luck.

But I'm not complaining! I'm just thrilled the day has finally come. I do, however, have some questions that I'd like some opinions on. I'm sorry if these have been answered already, but there's too many pages that I've missed to try and catch up. If someone, or a combination of people, don't mind answering these for me I'd REALLY appreciate it!

1) What time should I get there?
- I'm thinking 8AM for a store open of 9AM. They will not hold an appointment. Should I be okay with only an hour beforehand or is this like buying concert tickets on Saved By the Bell where I need to go right now?

2) Should I allow them to open and activate, or wait to do it myself?
- I've never activated a phone by myself, but if they don't make it mandatory to have them do it, I'd kinda like to be the first person to hold my particular device. Is there any other upsides or significant downsides to either option?

3) Anyone Pittsbrughers' want to meet up in Cranberry Township and camp-out with me?
- Just an idea. I'm not some creepy stalker or anything, but just thought it would be fun to enjoy this with another enthusiast. But I guess that's what a creepy stalker would say, huh?

4) How much money should I bring?
- Does anyone know if it'll be more than the $299+tax? I have no discounts or anything to be applied and I won't be ordering any accessories or extras.

5) Is there anything I should do to my current phone, a Droid X, in preparation of switching over?
- I know all of my apps will be available once I sign into my Google account on the Nexus. I don't care about old text messages or pictures. Anything I'm forgetting? How do I know all of my contacts will transfer (some are Google and some are device only)

If anyone can help me answers these, I'd be forever grateful... thanks so much and I can't wait until we all have this sucker!!!!! Wooo-hooo! I couldn't wipe this smile off my face if I wanted to!!!

For me I have a $100 credit when I move to 4G LTE phone. This stems from the Thunderbolt fiasco I went through with that phone. Long story....

EDIT: I would have to call the guy who gave it to me to be able to receive the credit. If I were to order online on my own, I would not receive it. He has to do "something" to the order for the credit to take in the system.

That's 9:30 Pacific Time. That doesn't give me much time to make my final I got mine post

5 calls to CSRs and still haven't gotten my upgrade pushed forward. I got one to say she could push it forward 1 week to the 21st... And another said I can try back tomorrow when the phone is released and I might have better luck... Frustrating considering I've had an email in my inbox from a month and a half ago saying he could upgrade me just fine and to give him a call. Now his extension says it's unavailable.

It's hard to believe this wait is over...I am so glad I have 1 set aside for me at Best Buy!!

I can only get to the VZW Corporate store in Leesburg,VA at around 7:30 P.M.

I call that store. MINE! Nobody else even step foot in that store before me. I will find out.

I'm so excited to get this tomorrow morning! I have a few questions now that the release date is official.

1. My name is listed as an account manager and I have access to the account online as well. Will I be able to purchase the phone/extend my contract without the primary account holder away? My dad is traveling for the week so this better not be a problem...
   
   
2. Will there be any difficulty using the $100 NE2 discount from the primary line of my family share plan? My line is also eligible for an upgrade so I don't think this should be an issue.
   
   
3. In Ice Cream Sandwich does the launcher have the subtle scrolling effect between home screens like in Honeycomb or is it possible to make the image static? I'd prefer to create a static background so it's easier to design in Fireworks.
   
   
4. Is it possible to lock the home screen orientation to portrait? I want other windows to rotate as normal if possible. I've been doing this on my Droid with LauncherPro but I'll want to use the stock launcher with ICS.
   
   
5. I've seen the bootloader unlock tutorial but is there one available for rooting yet (or is that done as part of bootloader unlock)? I don't know if I even need this yet, but I'll unlock the bootloader at least right away since that wipes the phone and there's no sense in having to set it up twice if I don't have to.

Can't wait!
