Seidio 3800mAh extended battery

Everyone band together and Just Say No!

Otrosities like this have to be stopped before they start. If you see a fellow android usser, please step and ask WHY? Why would you do something like this to your device? Maybe there needs to be a support group for these people.

I wouldn't trust them with batteries, especially after the DINC fiasco. Might just take 30+ people to carefully remove their wrapping, grap the numbers off the OEM and post it up!

May or May Not, just saying!

Haha this thread is classic. I was wondering who was going to buy the battery and clearly the answer amongst users here is: not many!

I was thinking about it since it would be more life in a single battery, but really I'm leaning against it. I don't like how it looks, hate that it's black, and I already have 2 extended OEM batteries that I got during the 1/2 price sale. For $50 I have 2x2100 mAh for cheaper than the Seidio and I don't have a pregnant woman hanging off the back of my phone, just a spare to carry in my bag/pocket and a travel charger to pack on trips. Plus I still have the regular OEM as a third spare if push came to shove.

The problem with these extended batteries is there is no way to make them attractive with the backs on most phones . The EVO and the Eris are ones that I can think of that actually have decent looking extended battery . When you only increase a portion of the phone size it looks awful but if you just make the phone all around bigger it's not too bad. .. Another one was the Seidio 3500 Incredible wasn't awfull but the VZW Incredible 2150 was hideous . Unless the phone has a complete removable back cover and not just a section the phone will have awful looking extended batteries

So instead of making a case which will fit the official extended battery, they made a battery so ridiculously large that it ruins the look of the phone? It probably more than doubles the weight too. I think that's silly. I'm always amazed when I see smart companies do dumb things.

They have a case to fit the OEM extended battery...

Because of my work, i'm frequently away from power outlets. I do concerts and conventions and things like that and there is a lot of travel.
I normally just buy extra batteries, but i never really considered a external charger. Does that seem like a better idea as opposed to multiple batteries? (just ordered galaxy nexus and 1 additional battery)

Sometimes work will take you away from charging on ac power. Seems like a win-win to me!

I get to travel and do stuff in an isolated room all the time. I'm seriously considering a battery pack like this.... at least I can view presentations left and right, yay.
