I've had a strange issue come up twice in the past 24 hours. (I bought the phone yesterday).

First, I was on a call for about 20 minutes. After the call I connected the charger but a warning popped up saying "Battery too Hot to charge." The back of the phone did not feel warm to my touch, as I've seen some other users complain of.

Second, I was on a call for about 15 minutes but had the phone plugged in. During the phone call I started getting the same warning. This time I knew my way around the phone enough to check the applications manager. There were definitely background process (facebook, email, some android processes), but nowhere near enough to make believe a high end phone should overheat. Again, the battery did not feel warm to my touch.

Having an issue like this right off the bat concerns me. I've installed a few apps but nothing extravagant. Should I exchange the phone? I don't want to start off with a lemon, and don't feel I should have to heavily modify/root a brand new product just to get it operating normally.

It's a problem I've never heard of. Regardless, I'd exchange it. It's a wonderful device. It sucks you're having this problem. :(
