Went to bed last night with 32% charge. Woke up, Nexus had 22% charge. Turned it on for a few seconds to check facebook, then drove to work. When I got to work, it had 13% charge. So over the course of the night and while driving to work, I turned it on ONE TIME for a total of maybe 20 seconds and in that time I lose nearly 20% battery. In the battery usage, it says Android OS used 25%, and the screen used 25%. What the poo is going on here? Why is my phone consuming so much battery when I'm not even using it?

EDIT: Nevermind, after doing a quick Google search (something I should have done first) I see that this is a common problem and a possible bug with ICS.

Facebook=your problem. $20 says its draining your battery.

That said, yes the nexus at best seems to lose about 1% per hour of idle time so your results while sleeping are probably right on.

I had this problem a few separate times in the 6 months I had my Tbolt.
Out of the blue my battery would just tank. Happened Rooted and non rooted with Froyo, Gingerbread and different ROM's. Never did pin down the cause or causes of it and it was always fine after I rebooted and recharged the phone.

Facebook may contribute a bit, but that is not the core issue. Many people have done tests where the battery drains quickly on factory reset phones with no google account and no apps installed.

I've never seen it. Definitely believe you as every android I've owned has had reports that were similar but I've been lucky enough to not come across it in any of them.
