We are trying to port gingerbread source (that is customized to our requirements) to samsung i7500. We made some customizations and tried building on pandaboard.
First we've rooted the phone. We downloaded gingerbread source from linaro.org for pandaboard. Also we've pulled the system folder(that contains proprietary library files) from the phone using adb...

We found there is no folder for I7500 in /device/samsung.
Only crespo is there.. (so no lunch option for i7500)
Now we got stucked since we've no idea on how to build... The questions are

1) Is there any source for android that contains build option for samsung I7500?

2) How to extract proprietary files with .mk files for my phone? Can we do that manually? I mean ... can we do manually what the extractfiles.sh file is doing?

3) Now we're trying to get gingerbread source from git://github.com/drakaz/android.git ... Will that src help us?

Please do help ................
Thanks in advance ... :)

Hey Thanks

I downloaded the gaosp_vendor from drakaz repo from github.com n included it in ma devices folder and tried building it i was able to make some changes in the make file and in the end i got this error

make: *** No rule to make target `out/target/product/I7500/kernel', needed by `out/target/product/I7500/boot.img'. Stop.

Do you have any idea as how i could revert this error?? Am hoping that you will really know the answer for this

Thanks in advance

Would be nice if was a developer, but the reality is really different.
I'm just guessing (really guessing) that you didn't downloaded kernel files (2.3.35 based ones). BTW., you need to download all stuff from there from android folder to all gaosp_xxx_xxx (in other words gaosp related folders). Galaxo kernel and PSFreedom folders aren't needed. Be warned, there are two kernel versions to download cm_kernel by bukington and gaosp kernel - don't know which is the one to go for.

P.S. also you must update cm sources (7.2).
