I was fed up with my battery life and was not impressed with the speed too. Finally flashed the right combo(apex and franco) of rom and kernel on my Gnex.
I m now getting 31 hours of battery with 25% of the battery remaining with moderate to heavy usage(received 5 e-mails, made 2 phone calls, sent and received around 40-50 msgs on my whatsapp, browsed a bit and checked my facebook 3 times. My quadrant score also went up from 2000 to 3221.

That's not moderate use, in fact that's bordering on no usage at all

What's your "screen on" time?

I'm personally running Modaco 4.0.4 gsm with Franco 17.2.

Screen off uses practically nothing, in fact it would probably last a week if i didn't touch it but then what's the point in having such a phone?

I get over 3 hours "screen on" time at 50% brightness which is enough for me but easily gets me a day. Which is fine as I'm never more than that away from a charger.

screen on time is an hour. Will try that rom.
thnx

No matter, you made the move to root and it just gets better from there.

Try AOKP. Best ROM out there, I promise. :)

I run AOKP's M3, (Milestone) a stable compilation of his previous work. No intrusive graphics art work, just all business.
The nightly "Builds" change regularly and are fun. I'm just cruising the M3 for now waiting for the 4.0.4 or 4.0.5 AOKP nightly s to start.

I run with Lean kernels but the Franko's are popular also.
