ive been looking all over at new home launchers. im on miui pikachu 2.3.7 and no matter what launchers i try i always end up back on the default launcher. ive tried go launcher, launcher pro, adw ex launcher, launcher 7, rocket launcher the list goes on. none have made me want to make that my default launcher or actually seem to deliver what they promise. the only launcher that looks like it can deliver is spb launcher but the fact they dont offer a trial is a bit off putting in case its slow or laggy on my defy before forking out

i did try that wallpaper for a while but have to admit im a bit of a sucker for the htc looking clock and weather widget. the best one ive found is fancy widgets. im actually using 360 launcher which isnt on the market and it seems pretty good so far.. i still have it, so thats a good start. some pretty cool transition effects.

i get told helix launcher isnt compatible, maybe its not 2.3.7 ready yet? has anyone used spb, i found a free version (just for trial) as you wouldnt get updates. but after a message saying it couldnt find my purchase on the market, it was very laggy. is that cuz it was trying to close down or because the defy cant run it properly?

There's a magazine about all things Android? Is that a real magazine made of paper?

Yes, I've noticed a trend in recent years where you could buy comprehensive guides in magazine format for all things tech, from blackberry through to netbooks... buyers guides, beginners guides, complete app directories... I think they come out quarterly & are bigger, more expensive than normal mags. Usually sold here at places like WH Smith in railway stations.

:D Ofcourse you can browse the web but the magazines make a good starter point without wasting your battery!
